We were on a cruise and used this as transport on way back. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Very well run. Queue was quick. Also views and experience was fantastic. I think using the donkeys is cruel. A great alternative!

There were donkey´s in serve, but they didnt loud kids to go by them self with donkeyś. In our visit queue to up wasnt so long,... More

We visited in the off-season and so the wait time between each ride could be a little long, however the ride itself was very quick. Great views down the cliff and of the bay. A great alternative if you don't want to ride the donkeys. 5 Euros per person each way, so not all that cheap.

We were cruise ship passengers and for those wanting to go to Fira have options to either climb up, take the donkey ride up or to take this cable car. We took the cable car to get up to Fira and it was very convenient once we got our seats! It is a short ride but worth the 5 EUR... More

The Santorini Cable Car is a fun, quick ride to take to see a side of the island that is usually unavailable from the walking path. A bit overpriced at 5 Euros each way, it's an easy way to get up and down to the shore, but not worth doing more than once. Try it once and enjoy the ride!

This makes sense, the tickets are cheap and you pay the round trip going up. You can of course walk or sit on one of the donkeys. The walk may not be the best for you if you are in anyway out of shape. The donkeys may seem like a good idea but they can go up and down the... More

Though you can walk or take a donkey to the top of the hill, it is a steep climb and the best way is by cable car which cost 10 euro each way pp. They run every few minutes so your wait is minimal unless the entire ship wants to travel at the same time.

Easiest way to travel from the Cruise terminal landing quay to the top of the hill, tickets are reasonable priced but there is very little organisation (Queue management) for the line going down. This lead to some confusion from Tourists, cutting in front of people and not knowing where to queue from.

There are a few ways you can get up and down Santorini. This cable car takes no effort. Walking up or down certainly does. I've done both but I would recommend taking the cable car up and walking down. Walking down is fun but make sure you have proper shoes. It is very uneven and there can be a lot... More
