Photography lovers will have a test of their skills here or you could just take in the fresh air and sight of the beautiful view and sunset/rise. Walking along the hike trails are at leisure and comfortable. There are many hotels pathways along the way and it is easy to walk along from end to end.

We took a boat across to from the old harbour to the volcano, after a bit of negitiation it cost us 20 euro each which seemd pretty fair for the trip. The ride is about 25 mins. Once on the volcano there's a small fee to go in. This is a self guided walking tour, some steep climbs but the... More

Hot springs at island called volcano santorini. This time we did not go on the island. The iron colored hot springs were special. The family did swim there.

A trek bu an active Volcano is a truly amazing experience. The scene is breathtaking and the views magical. The terrain is very rocky and decent footwear is a must, (no flips flops!). Its amazing the way the terrain changed from sharp black rocks to smaller pebble like stones to shades of red and sand colored rock and stone further... More

We visited the volcano with a boat tour. It was different. we climbed to the very top where you can feel the heat. If you come to santorini it is a must to visit the volcano, however bring comfortable trainers and be prepared to walk a lot. It is very tiring.

Great to see an active volcano. Do not be de eived cloudy and windy in the morning does not equal no sun. Cost reasonable 40 eoros for 2 to visit volcano and hot springs for a swim. Be warned about the extras. €5 each to go down the cable car for a 1 way trip. Better to walk down. Allow... More

Some of the people on the tour with us had a tougher time getting up the volcano. We enjoyed the walk and especially the scenery from the top. You could see down into the crater and there were areas where the sulfur was coming out. This is worth the visit if you are going to Santorini anyway. Swimming in the... More

I booked the volcano and hot spring excursion from cheapcruises.com. First we got of our boat and had no clue where to check in. We asked multiple crew people and people on the shore and no one knew what to do or where to go. Finally we found someone who sent us into a shop to exchange tickets but still... More

Just the experience, history and scenic view is worth the walk up there. Its nothing but stones and sulfur smoke up there. But the history and facts are quite interesting if you have a knowledgable tourguide! Dont take any stones away and dont throw garbage on the ground..its sad that everyone actually has to say that in a national park..... More
