We arrived to the city at the end of our day so we had a short stop there. People were very friendly and busy getting ready to go home.

Don't be over taken by the rush, take time out to stop and look around, especially up, the old buildings feature some amazing architecture and designs.Allow yourself to be drawn into the back streets , relax, get lost and enjoy. There are plenty of smaller , more artisan shops away from the main shopping streets and they are great for bargain... This is the first preview of Rhodes (coming by ferry boats) and it's very simple to start visiting the Medieval city just entering through the walls...

My husband and I went on a cruise with some friends and Rhodes was one of the stops. We weren't familiar with Rhodes but found it was one of our favorite places. Our ship docked right across from the Old Town gates and we could just walk to the city walls. Just beautiful! We went fairly early before too many... More

This is one of the worlds best preserved Medieval City. It has fantastic shops inside and restaurants. The street of the Gnights is unique also must visit the musuem.

Visited this town with my mum on holiday. When we first went in it was quite simple just followed the road and when we got to the middle we kept getting lost and going down small windy passages (so definitely take a map) however, we weren't miffed as every where the old history was re-used and turned into modern day... What a beautiful old castle city with lots to see inside and walls and moats to view outside. lots of smaller sites within the castle walls that are worth taking a look at. very fun to walk around in the old city. Buy an old town map to make sure you see all the sites.

We had a taxi tour which tried to drive through the city, but they had closed the gates earlier than normal, likely as a result of many ships in port. So after our tour to other locations around Rhodes, we finished up at one of the gates and then walked into the Medieval City and around some of the streets.... More

I traveled to 6 countries on my trip to Europe this year and I enjoyed this castle as much as I did St. Peter's Basilica. It was well maintained, beautiful, and very large. We spent the better part of an afternoon wandering around this castle. Great photo ops here. I loved Old Town, too. I ended up shopping here and... More
