Beautiful walk

We had a taxi tour which tried to drive through the city, but they had closed the gates earlier than normal, likely as a result of many ships in port. So after our tour to other locations around Rhodes, we finished up at one of the gates and then walked into the Medieval City and around some of the streets.... More

I traveled to 6 countries on my trip to Europe this year and I enjoyed this castle as much as I did St. Peter's Basilica. It was well maintained, beautiful, and very large. We spent the better part of an afternoon wandering around this castle. Great photo ops here. I loved Old Town, too. I ended up shopping here and... More

Rhodes Medieval Town is one of UNESCO's World Heritage Site and one of the best places to visit on the island - day or night!

The old city of Rhodes is mostly tourist shops and restaurants. The palace and approaching street are interesting but not extraordinary. Worth a quick walk through if your cruise ship stops

The old town of Rhodes is an verry nice place to walk around. The old city walls are amazing. The cruise port is only an 5 minute walk away. The Olympics thing you need to keep in mind ask for the price before ordering drinks and food. We payed 20 euro for 2 big glasses of cola.

The most alive historical place I have ever visited! Knights street that leads to the palace travels you in medieval times!

We stopped here on a cruise. You don't hear much about Rhodes vs. the other Greek islands so we had no/low expectations. We loved the medieval city! We enjoyed walking along the harbor outside the city walls and then heading inside to explore the old cobblestone streets. There are many shops and restaurants inside the city walls. We found a... Should you find yourself in Rhodes, visit it. It will make you feel like you're back in time. I did not have the chance to go everywhere (this place is huge!). The one thing I did not like is that it is filled with stores and you can hear everywhere "Zorbas" and "Syrtaki".

The old town is encompassed in the old walled city of Rhodes, which has 11 gates and is a huge place to explore. Everything outside of the walled city is called the new town . The old city streets are cobbled and very narrow passages run in all directions . Some 5000 people live in the old town , and... More
