Feel that you couldn't visit Parga without visiting the fort.Definitely worth the effort and breathlessness of the steep climb up as the views over the town and bay are stupendous - a photographer's dream.Amazing that it is free, as it certainly wouldn't be back home.Feel...More

This is the only ancient monument I have seen in Greece that is completely free to visit. There is a clear sign saying that you visit at your own risk and it is vital that you understand this. There are very few railings, the paths...More

Well worth the climb to the castle ruins the views over Parga are second to none and great photo opportunities. Some of the climb is a little tricky as it’s up steps that are a bit worn, but if you are steady and reasonably fit...More

Well worth the walk up from Parga. The views to the beaches are great. Stop at the Blue Bar on your way down. Great cocktails and service.

Yes you can just go and wander around free of charge. Lovely views over Parga bay. Don't know about the cafe opening times but expect it would be expensive. It's not a vast area to visit so cafes in town are aplenty.
