Worth the climb!

The Castle is pretty much in ruins but has a large Cafe' / Bar area with awesome views of Parga Town. A bit of a climb to get to but more than worth it for the view. But if it's Archaeology you're looking for, you might be disappointed.

It's amazingly beautiful even though not well taken care of.the view is completely stunning especially at sunset time. Do make the effort you 'll be plentifully rewarded.

Great place to sit and watch the comings and goings on and out of Parga! Such a chilled out location and so peaceful. Cafes aren't the best or cheapest but location location location

We walked up here for lunch one day and it was very worth it. You get a small taste of the history in Parga but also some lunch and a drink with a fantastic view! You can wonder off exploring the grounds but be warned that it's rocky and uneven so wear comfortable shoes! Not ideal for young kids or... More

Fantastic castle ruins to walk around with lovely views over Parga town and bay. An easy walk up to it and you can view Valdosta Beach around the corner.

Fun to explore the ruins with kids, but don't wear heels... Beautiful views both towards the harbor and Valtos beach, the latter is best for sunset view. There's a lot of rubble and vegetation on some footpaths, not so well kept. Still it's worth the climb, which is easy also with small kids if you don't rush it. It goes... More

The castle is easy to find , but at the top of many steep steps. An alternative route is from the road through the town. The views are amazing, the paths are rather dodgy in some places but be careful and you will be fine. Definitely worth a visit.

The Castle is reached by a steepish lane past some gift shops and lovely reataurants overlooking Parga bay which are a welcome chance to rest and drink in the view as well a a cold Metaxa, not to be missed ,the Castle itself is an untouched ruin feeling as though the invaders have just been sent packing . the odd... This castle is well worth a meander through the back streets as you climb up to the castle and the somewhat steep climb is well worth it just for the views. At the top you have many photo opportunities down towards Parga and of the little church on the island. It's great to explore the ruins and when you have... More
