So sad that this castle has left on its own and weeds and carbage has takin it over. Castle has beautiful views and deserves better maintenance. I needed more info of this site, but it was not available.

The castle at Parga is - well you have to see it to understand. Safety wise it would be shut in UK but don't let that put you uoff - you don't have to climb the pile of rubble to see another pile of rubble...More

You need to be reasonably fit to climb up to the castle. It is free to enter. Be careful when walking around as I did see a snake, although it soon slithered into a wall and seemed harmless. The views from all the different levels...More

We went up to the castle several times during our stay. The view from the castle is fantastic. After the climb its great you can sit & have a drink while enjoying the view of the harbour.

Well worth the climb up from Parga or Valtos Beach on the other side. Need to wear reasonable sturdy footwear, uneven paths and surfaces and unprotected edges so not good for young children. The castle offers glorious views of Parga, Valtos and across to Paxi...More

Good evening, could someone please tell us if this is gated or can you just wander in at any time? We will be there in June and would like to visit this for either a sunrise or sunset view. Also does anyone know the opening times of the little cafe here? Many thanks,

Yes you can just go and wander around free of charge. Lovely views over Parga bay. Don't know about the cafe opening times but expect it would be expensive. It's not a vast area to visit so cafes in town are aplenty.
How far is the castle from Parga town and how much is it? Thanks

Just walk up the pedestrian street at the back of the beach. It is lined with shops and bars, so you can just stroll up the street at your own pace. At the top of the street just turn left and you have arrived. Well worth... More
