My husband and I have been visiting Kefalonia and Myrtos beach for many years but this year there was a change. We arrived on the island in late May 2016 to stay just outside Sami and drove over to Myrtos beach to find it deserted. No sunbeds, no cafe but it was very early in the season. But there was... You must visit this beach at least once if you are in the area. It's truly beautiful. There are toilet facilities and a cafe for drinks and snacks with wi-fi.Visit this beach you wont forget the bay view as you first approach it from the hill tops.

It's a great moment to stop at the top and look below - the blue colors are breath-taking. There are fascinating rocks and a small cave that will make your stay and photos even more exceiting.

First time I visited Myrtos and looked down on it from the road itp literally took my breath away! Even after numerous visits to Kefalonia it still is a must see.stunning.

I had seen so many photos of Myrtos beach but it is so much better in person! I recommend going in the morning to beat the crowds. The drive down the hill to the beach is stunning with so many great photo ops. Definitely recommend!

worth the trip but parking can get busy at peak times, really pretty beach with rolling waves (so maybe not great for little ones or very old ones) - a must visit spot we went three times

One of the most beautiful places in Kefalonia. Very clean and organized, despite the big amount of tourists who want to visit the beach. You need to visit the place very early in order to find somewhere to sit. It reminded me some beautiful beaches in Crete with its blue green clear water. I totally recommend it!

Great beach, wild beauty..Usually there are currents, so there are waves. When it's like that, do not get too far inside swimming. Be careful with the small children also.

I didn't like the beach with the painful rocks. You really need shoes or aqua socks. The drive down was fairly dangerous and parking was really bad. I think after being to other beaches this wasn't top of the list. The bar they had there was pretty good. But the bees that circled were bad.
