Regardless of you religious commitment, beliefs or faith you can't help being moved by the whole experence. A very old church in the middle of Corfu Town with the traditional feeling of a Greek Autherdox Church displaying buitiful collection of Icons dating back many years. But the real significants of the church is that it's the resting place of the... More

Regardless of your beliefs, this is a beautiful and restful place to visit out of the hustle and bustle. And it's lovely to light a candle in memory of loved ones.

We visited here twice. Once to take in the beautiful artwork on the ceiling and second to see the body of the patron saint and say a pray for my mum to him. It is simple on the outside but inside it's just wonderful. But this is a working church and there are locals doing prayers and lighting candles and... More

A church dedicated to the patron saint of Corfu, St Spiridon whose remains are in a silver casket in this church. The church and it's bell tower are points of reference to any Corfiot and visitor alike when you arrive in Corfu Town. The place has a very revered feeling and is drenched in history and gold. The locals donate... More

We have visited this church a number of times over the years and there is always a queue to visit the Saints' tomb.It is always a very moving experience even for people not of the Greek Orthodox faith.

If you are on Corfu you must see this church. Try to read about the history and celebration of St. Spyridon before your visit. The rules of making photos in this church have been changed. Its not allowed to make pictures inside the church, with or without flashlight. Reason: unknown.
