About
You can't go wrong with beach and parties—and Kallitheas Beach is the perfect place to do just that. This beach on the east coast of Kassandra is just a short distance away from its namesake town, and packed with beach bars and restaurants. Its white sandy shores make it popular for suntanning and its clear and shallow waters are great for water sports and young kids to wade in. Unsurprisingly, this makes it a busy spot during summer. And be sure not to confuse this beach with the similarly named Kallithea Springs on Rhodes Island. – Tripadvisor

Pebble beach with a connection to the nearby hotels. So if you have leg pain, it may be a bit knotty.

Here you can hire pedal boats, you can run a ring for a boat and lots of other things.

Not much to see for snorkelers.

There are three different types of sunbeds which I assume can belong to the different hotels nearby. These cost money. We rented the ones in the middle with a "mattress", I think we paid €10 for each bed.

Can swim out to a reef a little outside where they have placed Greece's flag.

Great sunset

This beach is one of the most beautiful on Kassandra. It is very long and has many beach bars. The sand is fine white. The water is clean and clear. The price of sunbeds is from 7 euros to 10 euros for a set of two sunbeds and an umbrella.
If you don't want to sit on sunbeds, there is a small area next to the Margarita Hotel. There is a parking lot there that costs 5 euros for the whole day and 3 euros for half a day. You can set up your own umbrella and sunbed there, but you need to come before 9 am, because the free space fills up quickly.

This is a relatively nice beach but it’s not all smooth sailing. Parking is a mission with very little formal parking and roads that become congested - go early is the best advice. The beach is narrow and absolutely crammed with sun loungers - to the point that even walking down the beach is difficult. You can of course hire a lounger (around E30 per day in summer each) or walk all the way down the beach to the forested area where you can at least spread your towel out. There are plenty of beach cafes and vendors selling things, and a nice vibe. But it’s definitely not chilled and quiet.

I decided to travel to Kalithea beach from Thessaloniki with my family, after having done extensive research on all the beaches in Halkidiki and came across this, which seemed amazing from the reviews and pictures. I was very disappointed of the village itself as there isn't much in there to do or to see, many outdated places and no signage of bus stops or stations- I had to ask a few people around to finally find the bus stop for the journey back to Thessaloniki. The beach itself was very crowded and full of deckchairs which were mainly owned by hotels- so you can't make use of them as a visiting tourist. The 'public' deckchairs and umbrellas were all rented, so I spent about three hours walking, standing and swimming, as I couldn't find anywhere to lie down in the sun. The water was very warm and clear, so one star definitely for that, as well as for one of the restaurants nearby, Afrodite, which was very good and staff very welcoming. Also, to access the beach, you need to walk down a steep hill- that was very difficult for my older parents, who really struggled in that 30+ degrees heat. All in all, despite the beauty of the landscape, which was to be expected, the beach itself is crowded, small/narrow and not special in any shape or form, so definitely would not recommend or come back to this in the future.

Kallithea Terme was my favorite beach on Rhodes for 9 years. In the summer of 2022, 2 loungers with an umbrella cost 10 euros including 1 drink. This year it is EUR 25 without anything. New greedy organizations have bought up most of the best beaches on Rhodes and unfortunately turned the formerly most beautiful beaches into mass berths at high prices. In Kallithea, green strips were sacrificed for 2023 in order to be able to set up many more loungers. It is not the quality and well-being of the guests that are important, but apparently only the profit of the new operators. 2 bars about 70 meters apart play various loud techno "music"! There used to be relaxing chillout music.
Unfortunately, the authorities are currently doing nothing. The fire has burned down part of Rhodes, nature will recover! Without official intervention, some greedy organizations are destroying the beauty, including the Greek coziness and holiday relaxation! Such a shame!

The only beach in Rhodes (as far as I know) they charge an entrance fee. I thought that will include the sunbeds, but no. They charged us 60 euros for 4 beds which were crambed in a relatevely small beach. And guess what, they don't have toilets. We had to walk 600 meters from where our beds were, to use the toilets of the Kalithea sping museum next door which admittedly has a great architecture.
The sea has only 30-40% sand, the rest is rock.
I woul go again to admire the architecture but not to use the beach.

Regarding "Papua Beach Bar"

The sea is beyond excellent and so is the sand and the music. However the prices are quite high and there is a "minimum fee per person" that needs to be paid. In addition to that, psome of the staff members where quite rude as they lied to us saying that we had to book our place before coming even though that was not true at the time.

Overall 7/10

Regarding "Sunway" ( or "Sunaway" , I'm not quite sure)

The owner was so annoying as he constantly reminded us that we need to pay 10€ and he insisted on us getting an extra pillow even though we didn't want to. The only positive things was the polite and helpful waiters. Honestly just avoid it as there are better options in close proximity

Overall 3/10

Regarding "Axilleios Beach Bar"

The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure to regularly check on us to see if everything is fine. Moreover there is no minimum fee per person which is a thing to keep in mind.

Overall 7/10

The coast of Kallithea has really clear water of a very beautiful color. During my stay, the sand was clean only at one beach (hotel's private beach). There are many cigarette butts and thorns (one of them got stuck in my foot). To get to most restaurants and hotels from the beach, you need to go uphill.
Some restaurants still have russian menu, and even shop/ restaurant signs are often in russian language in GREECE!!!!! (photo below). I want to draw special attention to the pizzeria Evgefston (photo feedback for me is below). In this pizzeria, elementary sanitary standards are not followed and they are disloyal to customers.

Soft sand, clear water, and that's about it. Quite crowded and not really very clean. Too bad, because the nature left this place wonderful but greedy businesses and people lacking common sense are slowly ruining it.

As a special mention, make sure to avoid Bikini cafe beach bar. Toilets aren't fit even for animals + bonus, read below:

After paying for the drinks, one of their employees starts grumbling something about too many (!!!) people from our country this year in Greece. Wtf st00pid, this is where you get your wages from, it's called tourism!

I'm sure though it's just one of the few jerks who sadly are to be found in any country, otherwise I found Greek people very warm, friendly and welcoming.

It has a wonderful sandy beach.  the sea is turquoise and does not deepen around 20 m.  I recommend it for families with small children or those who do not know how to swim.  You can use sunbeds for food in beach clubs.  Free parking lots are available.
