Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arriving on a Sunday evening and with this church of the Immaculate Conception just 10 mins walk away, I strolled there at 540 pm for 6pm mass. It was rather quiet when I arrived and fortunately met 2 nuns, missionaries of charities (mother Teresa) who informed me that it was actually seven in the evening. It was truly spiritually rewarding to have attended a catholic mass in Greece.

Nothing to go out of your way to see as a tourist, but a perfectly decent place to go to mass.

Located near the French consulatate, there's an arch on the (north side of the?) street with the Immaculate Conception written on it in Greek and Latin script and a wrought iron gate. The church itself is hence sort of hidden in the cramped inner courtyard.

The priest who said Sunday evening mass in English when I was there (11/15) was French speaking African, and there was an adorable choir made of Philipina women that did a decent job.

The mass schedule apparently varies weekly. It seems that there are generally daily masses at 08h00 and 18h00 and sometimes 12h00, and Sunday masses at 10h00 in Greek and 18h00 in English. Sunday masses are in the church, daily masses may be in the crypt. During the summer the evening mass may be at 19h00.

The Missonaries of Charity are also associated with the parish, which is cool.

The church is nice, but nothing special. But go there for the crypt. It is a very big crypt which is used for mass.

There was a lovely Albanian woman who opened the crypt for us. There is a beautiful painting by the door.

We were walking on Fragkon street and we found a giant gate leading to an unknown place for us.
We went in and things started to feel kinda strange but in a good way. There were a couple of people there didn't really greet us or sth but what we saw was a hidden church in the city and it was the most spectacular thing you'll see. We wanted to go in but the doors were closed so we weren't really able. If you want to visit you should totally go on a sunday and see the service too. ! Bring a friend with you it can be awesome.
