Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is located near the center and next to the sea of Thessaloniki. Plenty choices for cafe, food and drinks for everyone depending on the bidget and style. It used to be much better some years ago but now has become a little bit more expensive like everything in the town. Very noisy during night and not so easy to find a parking spot although there are parking lots around which are always full

If you don't know the city well, you have the greatest possible choice in a small space. The atmosphere is special - there are old houses, no cars, beautiful lighting, cosy places. And local Greeks come here too.

It's a pretty ordinary place. It is no different from Taksim Nevizade. The only good thing is that no one pulls or pulls his arm, no one shouts too much to pull him into his place. It is a region where decent places come together. It can be preferred for a nice dinner.

Thessaloniki area really nice, bright and full of life. I was there on a normal Monday evening in August: bars, restaurants, shops of all kinds, music, people walking, families, young people .. spoiled for choice on what to do or what to see. Highly recommended

Nice walks around traditional buildings of the town. Lots of restaurants, fast foods, bars and pubs for all badgets around the area. There are plenty bars with different kinds of music for all tastes. Amazing in the summer, romantic in the winter.

A lot of choices for food and drink. Very vivid heart of the city for entertaining and night life. Siting at one of the outdoor restaurants is giving you also the opportunity to stare the passing by people in their best.

When in Thessaloniki you must go to this district. It is near the water and Katouni would have to be one of the central streets, full of restaurants of all descriptions. There is a sort of multicultural element in the district, but you will have to have Greek food! The district is full of life, especially at lunch time, but more so come dinner time, as we discovered. And the choices are far too many! Ladadika is the centre of entertainment, with cafes, restaurants, nightclubs and everything else that comes with night life. Originally it was here that olive oil shops would trade their wares, hence the name, Ladadika ("oil" is "ladi" in Greek). It also used to be a Jewish Quarter, and also the 'red light' district. Things have changed a bit since about 100 years ago, but the charm is there still. It is a very colourful are, literally! And the architecture is also great.

Salonica pre war was a Jewish city where the main language was Ladino (15th century Spanish) not Greek. This was the original Jewish business area full of warehouses. Now it is full of restaurants and cafés. Nothing remains of its rich cultural heritage!

I'm going to spend new years eve with some friends in Thessaloniki. I've searched in Ladadika but all restaurants I contact tell me that they will not be working on NewYears eve. Do you have any suggestions where I can try? Any suggestions for bars are also welcome

Hello Mirela, apologies for the delay but I have recently been ill. Have you managed to sort out your New Year's trip to Thessaloniki? I would recommend Kantouni Taverna - Ouzeri, also the Giza Bar. Happy New Year to you, Kind regards, Alison
