This huge fortress was build by the Venetians that traveled till here and build this majestic construction! € 8.00 the entrance. Be careful to the slippery rocks!

Another great fortress to see. Lots of walking and steps but worthwhile. After a while they all start looking alike. Must visit at least a few. Just a totally amazing place.

We visited the castle during a day trip. We parked close to the Public Beach and went all the way up with the stairs. The castle is very nice and the views are amazing. We were there with our 2 kids (3 and 1.5) we had to keep them very closely as there is not much protection against falling at... More

Palimidi is a huge fortress set high on a 700 foot hill overlooking the town of Nafplion and the Argolic Gulf. It was built by the Venetians around 1711, captured by the Turks in 1715, and later captured by the Greeks in 1822. You can climb the 857 steps from town to the castle, or over 1,000 to the top,...
