We spent our last day in Hydra here in front of the Tavern on the lounge chairs. We bought masks and snorkels in town before wandering over and really enjoyed checking out the rocks and beautiful, clear water. The walk over was nice and it was near deserted. I guess there used to be a hotel but the umbrellas and... More

This is a very nice little beach in front of the Mandhraki 1800 Taverna. It is pebbly so rubber shoes required for swimming, but this applies throughout Hydra. The taverna supply sun beds and umbrellas on the beach at no cost to their customers, which is great. Some of the beds are fairly new, and others are old and in... More

Apart from being a safe beach for children and having a good tavern, the beach looks a bit abandoned. If you stay in Hydra only for a few days, you shouldn't take the time to visit it, even though it is very close to the Port.

Once a place to be, now an abandonded hotel, a hardly called beach, a no reason to go! Hydra offers many other alternatives to swim !

Grubby and without charm. Little sand and the presence of a closed hotel and lots of rubbish does not charm. The walk there is the best part.

We went there in June. Less than 10 people on the beach. Really beautiful 30 mm walk from Ydra port. But you can also use a taxi boat. After swimming in the crystal clear water you can head to the cute taverna above the beach and have classical and good Greek dishes with the beautiful beach view Only some flies... More

I took a leisurely walk to Mandhraki Beach. The scenery was lovely and overlooked the ocean on one side and the soaring cliffs on the other. A cold drink at the end.

using sea taxi we arrived here from Hydra around 11 am. This is aver come and quiet stony beach. Beach management team already put some chair in the beach so that people can use them. Food is available adjacent and time to time sea taxis are coining and going back to Hydra. Water quality in the so nice that we... More

Once we arrived at this lovely little spot, we were quite enthusiastic. It felt very secluded, like a kind of insider secret. The snorkelling was good and the water was warm. The small pebble beach loungers were occupied so we went to settle at the disused hotel. That was quite depressing. Beach unbrellas were falling apart, dilapidated surroundings, litter all... More
