Decided to take the high speed rib cruise with Nikos Valtas from the port at Patitiri,Alonissos. It was more expensive but was well worth it.Taking only 6-10 people.we were so fast we reached all the stops first, visited the blue cave, numerous small coves for a swim and the marine park.Culminating in a visit to the wonderful monastery where we had a tour... I'm actually surprised that this is a Marine Park and lack of awareness in the positive reviews. The coral is pretty much dead and barely any fish visible. For many years I worked with scuba-diving and marine preservation. There is no evidence here of eco-projects to restore the damage. The boat trips are very dear, and you do not see... More

Weather you are a sailor, a diver or just a traveler, Alonissos is incredibly beautiful and has an amazing variety of marine life! I cannot find anything wrong with Alonissos at all! Especially if you love nature! 100% worth a visit

Diving in the National Park is great, the only draw back is that the entire park isn't open to diving, only 14 different sites. These sites are great, loads of fish, and different types of diving.

The National Marine Park of Alonnisos protects these magnificent creatures and shows that worthwhile to visit and learn what it takes to not harm the marine world ~

Few areas boast so many uninhabited islands or the wealth of rare wildlife. Boat access is tolerated to all the islands with the exception of Patatiri which is the main home of the endangered Mediterranean Monk Seal and where you need special permission. Elsewhere are fantastic secluded bays with good Meltemi protection and the chance of a sight of seals... More

We took one of the boat trips for the marine park in alonissos. I have to make clear that you will NOT see any seals. They are very hard to find as they are extremely shy animals. However, the trip around the small islands, swimming in crystal blue waters is amazing and...u might get lucky and see dolphins. Give it... More

We took a boat trip around the island of Alonissos which incorporated a visit to the marine park area. We had an amazing day which was topped off with an amazing experience with the dolphins. The captain of the boat we were on spent his time watching & waiting for the opportunity to show everyone this spectacle and we were... More

We had a lovely day tour in the National Marine Park with the very nice, passionate and experienced Capitain Paki. Sailing with his Γοργόνα we reached beautiful beaches and the charming monastery of Kyra Panagia. Do not miss it!

Obviously, the Marine Park, said to be the only one in Greece and the largest marine protected area in Europe, can be visited mainly on organized excursions by boat from the three larger Sporades islands, Alonissos, Skopelos and Skiathos. We made one and had a great time observing the sea, the islands with lush vegetation, the beaches and a couple... More
