The museum includes a visit to Hans Christian Andersen's childhood home and both are well worth a visit. If you are also planning to visit Funen Village, (a great day out), make sure you let the ticket seller know and purchase a ticket that will save you 30%.

Discover the soul behind the poetic children's stories in his city of birth. This museum is thorough and informative without being overwhelming. You can see copies of his tales and books in every language currently available. His birthplace has been incorporated into the modern museum. This was a dream come true for my childlike heart!

Visited the museum for the first time. Great experience but we needed more time to take in more information. The way the museum is set up was interesting setting up the time frame the writer lived in. The museum is in a beautiful setting being in the old town. There is a tranquil garden to sit in. There is a... More

Very interesting displays and a step back in time, we arrived just before closing and the nice lady at the desk let up through for free.

We had a lovely time in the museum as it is well designed, housing large volumes of the world-famous H. K. Andersen's books and art. The model of his childhood home was well presented too. The actual house where he lived is in a different location in Odense.

Small museum that is fun to see. Odense is a charming village and worth a day trip to the old area to feel the Danish charm. I visited here prior to TA date settings so I hope they will allow this posting.

This was my first time to Odense and of course I had to see the H.C. Andersen Museum. I was very excited by the size of the place and all the original things that were there, his hat, letters, a beautiful screen he had made, paper clippings, it was so nice. That day there was a storyteller and a kot... More
