We went there Sunday morning just as they opened, so we were the only ones. We had a go at the swings, enjoyed the massive pendulum and the ELECTRIC EARTH AF DOUG AITKEN, displayed on a big cirkular screen, you can watch it inside the...More

Enjoyed our visit. It's quite amusing watching others with virtual reality headsets on, practically art in itself, but also good to have them on yourself. Was mesmerised by a dual video of a gentleman from the Philippines singing, alongside his plight on shipping vessels. Enjoyed...More

My friend and I were on our way to the street food court when we saw that Yoko Ono’s exhibition was still on. Japanese inspired, simple and cute.

What a boring and paper thin concept for a piece of art by Yoko Ono. Hang your wish in a tree... pffff... we did those kind of projects in high school with a hippie teacher... and the trees are in pipes of concrete which is...More

There is an amazing little food truck/restaurant & bar here! Right next door to the short busy Paper Island, I was checking out La Halle. Only about six or seven items on the menu, I went for the Ham and Cheese! After a 40 minute...More

When we went there one of the exhibition rooms was closed to change exhibits, so we were given a discount on the entry price. The three exhibits we saw were pretty cool, particularly Christian Marclay's film 'The Clock'. We could have stayed watching that for...More

When we visited it was hosting "from here to ear v21" which was an installation piece involving zebra finches landing on electric guitars and basses. really immersive. Yoko Ono's wishing tree was outside. I expect that this space will continue to be worth a visit

We were so pleasantly surprised by the Copenhagen Contemporary. Warehouse size space for large scale installations and film and video. Anselm Kiefer paintings and sculpture, 24 hour time film by Christian Marclay. We were captivated by this film, mesmerizing. See how many films, actors, and...More

It was a nice surprise discovering the art on the way to the street food place. Yoko Ono`s wish tree was different and kind of cool. I would not go here only for the art, but combined with the street food it was nice to...More

It is fantastic to have such a centrally located exhibition space devoted to large installations. It could not be better situated on the harbor front with easy bike access across the nice bridges. The current exhibitions (three works of three artists, Huyghe, Sze, Kiefer) are...More

Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By,
you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old
brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century,
and canals which are home to many boats and ships,
some of which has been turned into restaurants or even
serve as fully furnished homes. The best known
attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free
