At Hey Captain we do Social Sailing, where you meet new people and explore Copenhagen harbor. We started as friends on a boat and this is the atmosphere we want to deliver to our guests. It's a talk and a dialogue more than your standard classical tour. During the tour your captain will show you our favorite sights in the harbor. There is plenty of time to ask questions and we hope you want to engage in a conversation about life in Copenhagen. Our ambition is to give you a sense of the city more than an overload of historical facts. The route is not 100% standardized as we want to try to accommodate specific wishes of the group and special events in the harbor. The 2-hour Hidden Gems Tour will take you off the beaten track from the standard canal tour routes in the inner town, exploring the upcoming residential areas of either the South or North harbor. We hope to see you on board and that you will embrace our concept of Social Sailing. The Hey Captain Team

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
Fantastic experience all around. We sailed on time and it was exactly as described. Great time even during the winter -- nice a cozy with blankets, glugg, etc. Great way to see the city and the guides are informative.

A wonderful tour despite the challenging weather conditions. Saw both expected and unexpected sights. Our captain, Victor, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The timeframe of 1 hour was perfect and the warming glögg was very welcome.

This was an excellent way to see the city. We had a lovely Captain who answered our questions, pointed out the main highlights of the tour and gave us interesting information. However, this wasn't a formal tour with the guide speaking the entire time. It was much more conversational and casual, which was just what we were looking for. We were a little worried about the weather, but even though there was a brief rain shower during our tour it did not dampen the mood or take away from the experience. The Captain quickly covered the boat with the awning and we stayed warm with mulled wine and tea. Then as soon as the rain stopped the awning came down again. I highly recommend this tour. Excellent, friendly guides. Lovely, clean boats with blankets and drinks provided. Copenhagen is a beautiful city and seeing it from the water is really the best way to take the city in.

What a fantastic experience! Our captain Kasper was so friendly, engaging, articulate, and knowledgeable about Copenhagen and Denmark! It was just so cool kicking back with a drink on a small boat, checking out the sights and learning about Danish life! When the big tour boats went by, you could see them thinking, “wow, we should’ve done that!” Thanks again Kasper!!

Despite the rainy and chilly weather we had a fantastic tour. We did the one hour landmark tour and it was just that -- we saw all the major landmarks from the water which was really nice. The guide was personable and friendly and took the time to answer questions. We absolutely will be doing another tour the next time we're in town!

Bonjour,
Nous sommes 5 copines et nous souhaitons découvrir Copenhague en bateau le jour de notre arrivée le 15 août après-midi (pas avant 16h00). Avez-vous des disponibilités?
Merci pour votre retour. Anne (Bruxelles).
My wife and I took both of these tours in July 2019.
The one hour tour (Landmarks) is somewhat different from the two hour tour (Hidden Gems) in subject matter. With the Landmarks, you get a very nice canal ride that features info on popular attractions such as Church of Our Savior, the Opera House, the Black Diamond Library, Christiana and others. Landmarks is a good tour if you are time-pressed.
With Hidden Gems, two hours is not too long as you get a break in the middle to get off the boat and explore. Although there is some discussion of attractions, there is additional focus on what life is like today and modern architecture.
You will have a good time on either tour!
Dear Steve,
We do not have a partnership with the Copenhagen Card. I believe they partnered up with the larger tourist boats. We hope you would like to join our tour anyway!
Best regards,
The Hey Captain team
