There are several tours organised for different periods of the Copenhagen history. I had the chace to do two of them and I found them very interesting and amusing. It is very interesting to learn how history has shaped the city and it has change its streets and habits thu the years.
I highly recommend them.

Christian gave us a great tour and explained the history of Copenhagrn from 1000 to 1600. He is definitely up to date when it comes to the most recent archeological findings and he was more than happy to answer various question on the history of Copenhagen and Scandinavia!
The topics of the tours change during the year and we will definitely come back for another time.
If you are interested in solid historical facts told by an expert with a tiny nuance of great Danish humor, this walk is totally worth the money and time!

I would highly recommend doing this walking tour with Christian. The pace is just right, balancing historical information with a fine walk around the city. Christian was a great guide and our only regret is that we didn't do the tour right when we arrived so that we would have a lot more knowledge about some of the landmarks and locations throughout the city.
Definitely worth your time!

The walk went well beyond pointing out tourist attractions. Christian told colorful stories of Copenhagen's past - activities in the narrow, winding streets, upheaval with the Reformation, trade and worker guilds. Our walk centered on the early days, reaching into the 1600's. In other months, the focus shifts to more recent times. Knowledgeable about current events, Christian is a member of his town council. Even though my wife and I were the only ones there, he proceeded with the walk without hesitation. Being on the ground with a local who loves what he's doing - it's hard to beat.

My family joined Christian for the "King's Copenhagen" tour which was very worthwhile. We learned a lot about the history of the Country and the City from clearly a very knowledgeable source. While we had walked around the city the day before, it was so much more informative to learn from someone with more of the detail about the history. Christian patiently and pleasantly answered all our questions. Definitely worthwhile and highly recommended.

I took Christian's "King's Copenhagen" (1600-1800) tour in July 2017. It was a wonderful tour and a bargain at that. Christian was professional and organized, but also relatable, humorous and extremely knowledgeable. I particularly enjoyed the variety of topics covered during the tour--major events in Copenhagen's history during the period, architectural and cultural development, overview of Danish military engagements (and resulting border changes), a look into the daily life of ordinary Damsih citizens, and of course a chronicle of the exploits, laudable and infamous alike, of Danish royalty, nobility, and significant statesmen and merchants. I would highly recommend the tour for anyone seeking the benefits of a collegial and easy-going tour, but with the added benefit of serious and fascinating commentary.

My husband and I took the walking tour in June 2017. We have spent over a month in Copenhagen for work, so know the basics about the city. This tour was a really enjoyable look at Danish history, with lots of detail and good stories. Christian knows his stuff and has that dry sense of Danish humor we enjoy. Heard about wartime wins and losses versus the Swedes, the fires of Copenhagen, and the lives of crazy, spendy kings. Learned a lot, a really fun 1.5 hours. Definitely recommend to those who like to learn about the places they visit!

I showed up for the 1100-1600 tour in English at 10a on Saturdays. Surprisingly, I was the only one to show up so I was pleased and impressed the tour went ahead. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions in detail, including how what was going on in Copenhagen at the time related to events elsewhere in Europe. This tour is well worth the price. I intent to return to Copenhagen and top of my list will be the 1600-1800 tour.

A wonderful walking history tour of downtown Copenhagen, exactly one hour in length. Great overview of the local history with an historian. We did the walk in English, one of four people there so it almost felt like a bespoke tour. Well worth the cost - do early in your trip so that you gain an understanding of that you are going to experience in Copenhagen.
