It was worth the walk from the centre to the Cemetery . Very interesting and very well kept place. Very peaceful and nice to stroll around looking at the many well kept graves and monuments , including famous Danes such as HC Anderson.

Cool place, if you like cemeteries which I don't particularly. There were people setting off fireworks there which was a bit nerve-wracking.

This cemetery is the resting place of Nobel laureate Niels Bohr, fairy tale author Hans Christian Anderson and existentialist philosopher Soren Kierkegaard. With beautiful poplar trees lined avenue, this cemetery is open to public for walks .The big compound has benches to sit also.

Normally I wouldn't visit a cemetery just because, but cemeteries in Copenhagen are different, they have a lot of space to lie down, sunbathe (wearing appropriate clothes), eat & drink. Young people go here for after office pic-nics. It's quiet and very well groomed.

One of Copenhagen's many bicycle “highways” plays an
integral part to this neighbourhood as it snakes its
way through the city. This bicycle path, which allows
you to pass almost unhindered from one end of town to
the other, is bordered by green oases, skater parks,
benches, cafés and all kinds of other recreational
facilities. One of the major squares surrounding the
bicycle path is called the Red Square, which offers an
