This is close to our daughter's flat so we've wandered though a couple of times. It's a pleasant place to walk on a nice day and probably interesting if cemeteries are your thing. We will no doubt walk though again as it is close but...More

This is a very small cementery which is easy to reach by public transport from the city centre. The resting places of Kierkegaard and Andersen are well signalised. Bohr's doesnt need much, it it massive.

I love to walk here if I am at Nørrebro. It offers a break from the busy streetlife and the traffic, there is lots to look at if you enjoy huge trees and plants + there are many historical persons being burried here if that...More

Decided to walk here from the centre which was a bit of a hike but very pleasant after Sunday breakfast. Most unusual cemetery which made it worth a visit. Probably not at it's best in December but will return sometime in the Summer perhaps. Could...More

We walked around the cemetery using the map by the gate. How confusing was that. Took us an age to find Hans Christian Andersen's grave and we never found Neil Bohr's at all. Worth a walk around though, and we saw a red squirrel too.

Assistens Cemetery isn't exactly what I picture when I imagine visiting a cemetery but it was beautiful. It was basically a park that also happened to have tombstones (inlcuding that of the legendary H.C. Andersen). The design of the cemetery is gorgeous and like something...More

We were on an excursion with a guide. He showed us a lot different grave sites. He also read poems from different artists. A very nice evening with H.C. Andersen, H.C. Ørsted, Michael Strunge, Dan Turell and more.

We wanted to visit Assistens to see Hans Christian Andersen's grave. This cemetery is quite large, so we were happy to see there were some signs posted to lead you to the site. Also, there is a large map near the front entrance that highlights...More

What a wonderful park we discovered just around the corner from where we were staying. The colours of autumn were bursting on this sunny day as we enjoyed the lovely gardens as we strolled for a couple of hours.

One of Copenhagen's many bicycle “highways” plays an
integral part to this neighbourhood as it snakes its
way through the city. This bicycle path, which allows
you to pass almost unhindered from one end of town to
the other, is bordered by green oases, skater parks,
benches, cafés and all kinds of other recreational
facilities. One of the major squares surrounding the
bicycle path is called the Red Square, which offers an
