One to tick off the tourism list, but you won’t need to spend more than a few minutes looking at it. Given it’s a statue on a rock I doubt anyone plans to anyway. But of a walk but not miles and there was a...More

I was told don't be disappointed by its size! Well its life size - was my friend expecting a 40' state! Very lovely setting in the harbour

Everyone wants to see the real Little Mermaid when they go to Copenhagen, but it is much smaller than we expected and it was so crowed we could barely get close enough to get a picture of it.

This may be the most "oversold" attraction I have ever seen. It was just a small statue on a small rock. Even the story behind it is likely a myth. However, if you consider the statue as just one of the attractions on a beautiful...More

A small man - made statue on the rock. No true or impressive story behind it but just a made-up fable/myth/story. I failed to see what attracts tourists to it other than for the fact that it's picture has long been the symbol of Copenhagen...More

Slightly overrated and quite difficult to find. It was raining on the day so was hard to take a picture with the mermaid as the rocks were so slippery.

It is just a statue on a rock. It is not really near anything else either. There is so much more architecture, statues, parks, etc... in Copenhagen to visit.

She's tiny, but iconic. You have to see her. She's not hard to find, no fee to see her. And for those griping, calm down. It's the Little Mermaid! Besides, there are so many other cool things to see in this city and you pay...More

It is just a statue. I don’t get it. There is nothing amazing about seeing 100 asian tourists photographing a small statue.

If you have plenty of time to visit all the tourist attractions in Copenhagen, then you will go for a walk by the sea to find the Little Mermaid. The walk is more interesting than the mermaid, it's too small and not something impressive.
