One Word! Wow! A great history for design even if you are not too much about design. This explains it all.

Great exhibition of Danish design throughout the decades. The design of the museum itself does not disappoint. If you like modern art or contemporary art museums, this is for you too.

I really loved this museum. And that's not just because they have an amazing chair exhibit on right now (I love chairs. Especially Danish ones.) But there was a lot of interactive design and little puzzles and whatnot as well. As well as a load of hands off sort of stuff-- just a really good mix and introduction to Danish... More

We travel a lot, and our kids have decent museum manners. This was the first museum experience I have ever had where every single staff person seemed to have thinly veiled disdain for my kids. Both were behaving reasonably and were kept close to my husband and I, but you would have thought we had let them run wild destroying... More

We were bowled over by our visit to the Design Museum. We appreciated the influence of Danish design throughout Europe but seeing so many examples together in one place quantifies that influence. In furniture alone the Danish influence is everywhere. This was both a nostalgic and positive learning experience. A must visit when in Copenhagen.

Do not miss this place when visiting Copenhagen. I loved it. It's so nice to visit a museum and come away inspired to create. The collections were well rounded and informative. There were a reasonable number of kids around, but not one seemed to be bored. Who ever the curator in charge is - well done!

Enjoyed looking around at lots of different eras of Danish design. Some interesting pieces. The chair collection is really interesting (I know surprising!)

Lovely museum to visit. The exhibits were well curated and the museum had good flow and balance. We both loved The Chair exhibit which was extremely well laid out and interesting. The fact that it also provoked conversations with regard to "I remember when my parents/grandparents had chairs like that ....." turned the exhibition into a very personal trip down... More

An excellent overview of Danish dessign over more than one hundred years. After spending an afternoon in this beautifully set up exhibition, it is easier to understand why Danish design is so famous. The museum also has a lovely green courtyard in which you can enjoy a good book or their café lunch or dinner.

A number of known Danish designs, plus some unknown ones too; my wife liked the clothing, and we both liked the furniture. Could be updated with better signage, etc.
