I am not a huge fan of zoos and visited this one as it was part of the Copenhagen Card. The zoo was large and the amiable had adequate space to move around! As we approached the zoo through the park we could already see the elephants and were quite surprised by this! It was lovely to see the elephants... More

The main reason I visited the ZOO was the Arctic ring. The polar bear was a bit sleepy as he was after lunch. The seals were fun as they were constantly swimming or posing on a rock. Penguins were lovely. The tropical part (tropical forest or how was it called) was great as there were animals like birds and mouse... More

This zoo made our Easter trip. Best zoo enjoyed by my whole family. The polar bears were amazing , as was the monkeys . Very well priced too spent the whole day here. Toilets , food stalls very clean and well stocked. Also there is a wooden to climb. It's a long climb worth it for stunning views at the... More

This zoo was a really good zoo. The exhibits were really nice, especially the polar bears and the brown bears. The zoo has some fairly unique animals (Musk Ox and Tasmanian Devil) which were cool to see in person. We also really enjoyed watching the elephant feeding and would highly recommend that you try to see that if you can!... More

If you have any care towards animals look up their history for mistreatment of their responsibilities. I'd think twice about supporting that with your money.

The Zoo is easy to reach by using the free shuttle bus (although this service is not very well advertised and the bus itself is covered only with Carlsberg Brewery adverts). Even though it was a very rainy day we enjoyed our visit since there are many indoor exhibitions. The animal enclosures were mostly well thought out but some seemed... More

Copenhagen zoo is a great zoo in a beautiful location. It is surrounded by a huge and extremely beautiful and we'll designed park. The zoo is very spacious and the majority of animals have lovely, sizeable locations, especially the animals such as the giraffes, rhinos and zebras. The best enclosure is by a mile the polar bears, the enclosure is... More

Zoo entrance was included with Copenhagen Go card. Took a bus from central Copenhagen which was easy and also included with Go card. Hired a pull along cart at entrance for the smallest family member and bags which the kids loved. Zoo is well maintained and have some state of the art enclosures, particularly the polar bears, who you can... More

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Frederiksberg
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
