Great spot to visit on a Sunday when it seems all Frederiksberg residents come here to chill out on the grass. Lovely lakes as well, plus you can have a peep in at the elephants' area of the zoo without having to pay the entrance fee!

If you are staying in Frederiksberg, there is no excuse not to go for a stroll in the park. It's really beautiful, it's good for a run in the 2km path or just a picknick in the lawns, watching the birds that inhabit the park. You can even sunbathe on the foot of the Frederiksberg Slot. Great for people with... More

Its a nice large park in the city. Plenty of space, water, birds and greenery but not much else. On the bus top route for hop on/off buses so worth an hour if you need some space.

Acres and Acres of green space punctuated with woodlands, meandering streams and a palace, Frederiksberg Have is peace personified. Geese, ducks and swans are so accustomed to human interaction that they (and their goslings, ducklings and cygnets) barely budge when approached to be photographed. The market at the entrance offers the chance to purchase the makings of a picnic to... More

Staying in Frederiksberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here there are several fine theaters, from the experimental to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which specializes in transcribing the great London and New York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find Denmark’s most beautiful (and expensive) city villas. These 4-5 square miles form the Beverly Hills of Copenhagen. Here you’ll also find Frederiksberg Have (Garden) which sports huge outdoor concerts, from classical to electronic dance music. To top it off, dining options range from cozy family restaurants to some of the area’s most trendy cafés.
