Copenhagen Free Walking Tours invites you to join our 3 different Free Walking Tours through the heart of Copenhagen. We suggest starting with our Grand Tour of Copenhagen, taking in the famous city landmarks like Christiansborg Palace, Nyhavn and Amalienborg Palace while we discuss history, culture, people, food and so much more on an easy 3 hour walk through the city center of Copenhagen. This tour starts everyday at 10 am, 11am and 3pm* from the steps of the Town Hall (Radhuspladsen). Just keep your eyes peeled for the smiliest guides in town, wearing green name badges and holding bright neon green umbrellas. You can't miss us!

Join us in Spanish at 11am or 3pm everyday at the steps of the Town Hall!

We also have two alternative tours - the Christianshavn Tour, and the Classical Tour. Both tours run for 90 minutes and see distinct neighbourhoods in Copenhagen that we do not cover on the Grand Tour.

We also work closely with Pub Crawl Copenhagen! Come and drink with us!

Please check out our website for seasonal start times, and locations. Booking in advance is not required but very much appreciated.

It was a very good tour. Although the guide was not Danish, he was very knowledgeable of the city. He had interesting things to say about Copenhagen and he has a great sense of humor. There was never a dull moment. He suggested some good places to eat. Don't forget to go to the cheesecake place! It was very good... More

Australian born Dan O led us through the streets of Copenhagen and it was splendid. He had everyone you hope for in a tour: knowledgeable, funny, and friendly. Highly recommend! Hope he wins the wine this month!

My friend and I went on the grand walking tour of Copenhagen today and absolutely loved it! Our tour guide was Magnus, who was incredibly hilarious, making jokes left and right while also intertwining fascinating historical facts in his tour! It was honestly such a great way to experience the city, and he always kept us on our toes! There... More

I have done free walking tours in other cities and I'm pleased to report this tour didn't disappoint! Our tour guide James was friendly, knowledgable and provided a really interesting guide to the city. The best way to the see the cities sights by far!

I joined the free walking tour on the last day in Copenhagen. It is not a big city, the walking tour covered most of the parts in old town. We started from the City Hall and ended in Amalienberg, which is very enough in 2 hours. Rikke is our guide, she suggested us a lot of things to do or... More

I've done few walking tours and I must say that Simon is by far the funniest tour guide ever :D Had a great time, Copenhagen wouldn't have been the same without his tour I just need to share that I was really upset to notice that the majority of the group who I did the tour with just left at... The 3 of us had a great time with Simon on the grand tour and Luis, both were very knowledgable and friendly and were really approachable. Although we don't regret doing the tour I think it's key to know that the tours don't cover all of the places of interest in the city (i.e. The mermaid isn't covered in the... More

Fantastic tour with Danish Dan. On a windy day in Copenhagen Dan made the tour informative, safe and very entertaining. I left feeling like I knew a lot more about the history but also the danish people and culture in the city today! Thanks Dan and keep up the great work!

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
