Our driver/guide Klaus told us that this fishing community stands on the most expensive real estate in the Copenhagen area. Even the modest fishermen's bungalows are coveted despite the price. We stopped in a gift store with an open door into a nice bakery. We...More

Just wanted to write something that the museum is closed for renovations in 2018. But the boat Elizabeth K571 is out in the water and easy to see if that's what you're coming for. Quiet, quaint town with cobblestoned streets, shopping, restaurants, grocery store. Easy...More

This harbour has tis own charm, combining fishing vessels and small sailboats in the marina. When weather is good you can easily see Sweden, and the bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden. Don't forget to visit the pilot museum (lodsmuseet).

This is an adorable little fishing village that turns into a resort area in the summer. Sweet little streets lined with hollyhocks and houses with thatch roofs. Not far from Copenhagen and yet, it's another world: quiet, gentle, resort-like. We stopped for ice cream and...More

Here is the small Danish port that was a short ferry-ride away from Sweden and the base for smuggling Jews away during the Nazi occupation; one of the actual small boats on display in the small harbor. A small "Main St" is lined with a...More

This small country town just a few kilometres from Copenhagen is well worth spending some time in. The historical centre and old harbour are pretty and there is a photographic set piece round every corner. Cobbled streets and ally ways are uncluttered by cars which...More
