Holger the Dane is patiently biding his his time until he will rise up and protect his country and citizens of Denmark. Located under Kronborg Castle, it is an impressive statue with an even more impressive story. Good luck getting a good picture, the lights...More

Visiting Holger Danske is a fun experience, as you have to explore the catacombs of Kronborg Castle to find him. But the legend is also interesting: he's supposedly sleeping, and he'll wake up to defend Denmark if the evil Swedes decide to invade!

Holger Danske is just Holger Danske. A statue of a legend in Denmark, which sadly has taken a negative turn. And it cost money to see

To reach Holger you need to go to Kronborg Castle and there is an under ground route which takes you to HOLGER . One of the sites to see in Kronborg.

As entry into Kronborg, you can go tour underneath the castle itself. Not well lit. The Holger statue is the only thing to see. Pictures do it justice if you want to see it. Not much more to it. Will enjoy if you read the...More

Going below into the Kronborg Castle Casemates was a stand out experience. It was here that soldier's took refuge during wartime and we were told the area was used as a prison in more recent days. Inside the gloomy interior is a magnificient lighted statue...More
