Comprehensive exhibition in the most astounding surroundings. A beautiful Northern European renaissance castle stuffed with art and artefacts from the Medieval times to the present. A must see when you are on Zealand.

The entire castle is so majestic and elegant... As you go near the castle and walk through its corridors you can feel the grandeur of the royalties who once live there... Very historical, with all the carvings on its walls and ceilings. As well as...More

I love coming to this castle. The history, and also all the old things to see are absolutely worth it. So much of denmark history to learn about from a visit.

Frederiksborg Castle is beautifully situated on the Castle lake and hold the National Historic Museum, offering both an extraordinary permanent collection and frequently changing special exhibitions, both of art and history. Worth a trip to Denmark

The castle has so much to been seen. If you have extra half day, you should definitely take the train from Copenhagen to visit this castle. You can also walk around in this little town. It has great views and nice local shops.

So much history, beauty and craftsmanship. Each room is uniquely designed with different flooring, ceilings and wall treatments. There is a chronological time snap of eras in design and fashion. Very special and well worth the trip.

We went there during summer and spent few hours. It has a very big Garden which is kept well maintained. Small water body make this place must go with children. I would suggest avoid weekend as it can be crowded.
