Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This afternoon tea is ok. The ride was a bit bumpy in places (which saw our drinks splash around a bit!). We couldn’t hear any of the annoucements the driver made which was a shame. There are only two types of sandwiches & the cakes are very small. No menu to tell you what anything is either.
Everyone organsing it are lovely and cery welcome but we did feel this was overpriced and there isn’t anything that special about it sadly.

We had 44 guests for an afternoon tea wedding reception - Nicky and all of her lovely team looked after everyone from the moment we arrived.
Actually I must say far before that because Nicky was a total pleasure to deal with in the planning stages and could not have been more accommodating.
The bus was such a fun quirky element to the day and everyone loved it. Such a fun party atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious and very plentiful.
Drinks were flowing and we had a welcome break in Salt dean to get some photos and it was a perfect day.
Couldn't recommend any higher!!!

This was a new experience having had a number of afternoon teas in various places. The journey was really interesting I’d never been to Hove and hadnt realised how close it was. Same for Saltdean and Rottingdean. Although a bit bumpy in places all adding to the experience. The bus was decorated beautifully, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was good quality and plenty of it, the Prosecco was the biggest glass and absolutely lovely. Good choice of teas and all served in a travel mug so no worries about spillage. Great experience!!!!

My mum and I joined the bus this weekend and it was superb. The bus was beautifully decorated and the food was brilliant. The staff were lovely and commentated on various points throughout the journey. Honestly the best afternoon tea experience we have done.

We had a wonderful, authentic experience onboard the Brighton Regency Routemaster this weekend. The afternoon tea was amazing and varied (not to mention generous portions!) The route around Brighton took in all the sights with commentary on places of interest. Nicky and her team are so friendly, warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. In case, like me, you are wondering how the prosecco/drinks do not slip off the table... there are handy cupholders in the table and non slip mats! Thank you for the experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Brighton/Hove.

What a fabulous unique experience. The afternoon tea on the top deck of the bus was just lovely. A lovely selection of sandwiches and sweet treats, as well as hit and iced tea options. The cocktails were delicious. Nicky was a fabulous host and the commentary added to the ambience of the tour of Brighton.

What an excellent way to ferry guests around on your wedding day!
We jumped on the BRR outside Brighton Town Hall and went all the way down the coast with drinks and tunes that got the party started :)
Nicky and her team were excellent during the journey and in the run up with communication and planning. They also had a really great laid back attitude on the day which we loved!
We can’t thank you enough for being a part of our big day!

One of the most fun moments of our wedding day was spent trundling around the South Downs and seafront on the Routmaster. Nicky and Sophie worked so hard to keep our drinks topped up, and we had A Grade canapes.
I didn't know what to expect (having still used routmasters as recently as 2006) and the layout was great: tables and seating for cosy chats and amazing views from upstairs.
The service was spot on from the moment I sent the enquiry to the minute we were dropped off.

Staff very friendly as we boarded, we sat upstairs, the initial feeling was the bus was very plain n basic. We were served with the afternoon tea which again was very plain, could of put some crisps or garnish to finish it off, sandwiches were nice but very odd combination of fillings, cakes again very odd, lots of very small cakes but as 1 of each we had to share out equally, scone was very dry which was a shame.
Tea was served but we wernt offered sugar which was odd, we have done afternoon tea at various places n this one could be improved in a lot of small ways, we felt it wasn't worth the costing of it compared to others , it was ashame.

Hi my mum, aunt and I would love to do your tea tour in August .I have an electric wheelchair is there somewhere to store it whilst I am on the tour. I will be able to manage on the bus however can not walk far do to fibromyalgia. Many thanks in anticipation of your response. Shanaya.
Hi Shanaya, thanks for your inquiry! Unfortunately we do not have the ability to store an electric wheelchair onboard. But if this works for you, you could get dropped off at pool valley by car right by the bus and board directly. Team BRR
