This was on my dreams for years and when you have such high and long time expectations, it can get tricky.
These people secured that our experience was just according to our dreams, or better!!
Pick up at the hotel (thanks for masks in the van) and a 10 minutes drive brought us to a fantastic Swedish Lapland environment. There you are offered warm clothes (well, warmer than what you probably already have). Everyone got a jacket, you can borrow sky pants, artic boots and mittens. Clothes look new and really make the difference.
Then they finish the dogs preparation for the two sleds. Every sled host 4 people and is pulled by 14 enthusiastic dogs.
The ride brings you on a defined 12 km path, both in the forest and on the frozen river, with a stop in a tend for some warm coffee and a muffin. It is exciting, magic, emotional all in one.
We didn’t suffer any cold, our son (10) was in the front of the sled and loved every second of it, plus he could cuddle every single dog :-)
The crew is professional and extremely nice. They take care of their 50 dogs, including a race team. Can’t imagine how much work goes behind the scenes!
