Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The real name of this place is Ormberget Stadium so search for that on Google Maps and not the name it is given here, you won't find it and end up at a cemetery when searching it anyway.

Ormberget Stadium is a very nice forest made for langlaufen and running, but also a single beginner slope is present there. If you like nature and are in Luleå you should definitely take a walk or run on one of the 8 set routes, ranging from 1.7 to 10 km.

I had a very pleasant walk along this well signposted trail. And it's reachable by bus from the city. In summer sneakers suffice. Must be great for cross-country skiing in winter.

We walked here at -30c in January. We had the place completely to our selves, and it was a beautiful winter wonder land.

I discovered it "by accident"! I was spending the weekend in Luleå, the weather had been unplesant on Saturday, but Sunday was a nice day! Sunny and quite warm! We even took our bathingsuits but the water was still too cold. Perfect for a good hike (several longer or shorter trails), ideal for a lunch or a fika by the lake. The landscape is amazing, and you find plenty of places to camp and light a fire! If you have a kayak, it´s also nice to paddle a bit! Take good hiking boots because it´s wet most of the time! Will definitely go there again ;)

I was recommended this trail at the tourist office in Lulea when asked for hiking/photo opportunities. I chose to do the loop near Hertsotrasket lake as it seemed reasonable to do within 2 hours that I had. Needless to say I did end up rushing through half way back as I took too long taking photos. The trail is mixed between woodland road, plank trails and boggy (and *wet* after rain, so wear hiking boots) narrow trails nearby the Baltic sea. The trail is well marked & has information boards in Swedish & English in places along it (the boards marked on map are for animal descriptions only, there are some unlisted boards that you come across telling you your location on the map). There are nature observation posts marked by light blue strings leading up to them in some places on the trail. The part of the trail I went on wound through birch & pine mixed forests. I did not have the time to really pay attention & look for wildlife & wildflowers, but I wouldn't doubt their existence there. There were a lot of varied bird calls, and nice views by the water as well. The little lakes are gorgeous and fairytale-like, and also have picnic tables and wood to burn.
Map is available here (but I suggest getting a printed one from the tourist office for handy reference): http://www.lulea.se/download/18.679b70b813c628f04e110c6/1359037933084/hertsostigen_karta_stor.pdf
