Welcome to the Railway Museum in Ängelholm! Come and see the developement of railways on our large model railway with a slide show, covering their history from horse-drawn freight wagons to today's high speed trains. Or take a ride in the locomotive simulator, Locomotion. Everyone, from children till advanced technicians, will find something interesting at the museum. If you come in summertime, don't miss the miniature railway in the park behind the museumI In our shop we sell souvenirs, books, films, toys and much more. We also offer coffee, soft drinks, ice Cream, sweets and simple meals. Every year we organize a number of large events with steam trains and other attractions. We also arrange temporary exhibitions.

A wonderful journey of interactivity and first class exhibits. It is a privilege to visit. Everything has been given enough space so you can truly enjoy your own 'space' whilst walking around. Exhibits range from a recreated train station (with its own waiting room) with a full screen dynamic video of the history of Swedish railways (in English and Swedish)... More

This place has been on my radar for years but for one reason or another I always forgot to go. Luckily this year my wife insisted, as did my oldest daughter, and do off we went. What greeted us was a cheap entrance fee (50kr per adult) and free entry for kids under 19 years old. At that price I'd... More

Great little museum with small play rooms inside also for the youngest. There's a small simple electrical train outside that the kids can go on for only 10kr. Coffee inside also 10kr, important for the parents ;)

Nice and tidy. Very educational. Beautiful model railway landscape that quickly brings you from early days of railways up until today. Start walking and soon another special - get seated in a train simulator and experience railway travel from steam to superfast future. Fun for all ages!

To see how people in early time, when todays modern equipment weren't available, how they worked to build a modern railway infrastructure.

It is a railroad museum - not a train museum, so you'll only see one engine in the whole museum (and there is another one outside). That said, the railroad museum is excellent. Very educational in an interesting way without feeling like a school kid on a test. Lots of full size displays as well as models makes the museum... More

Great Museum for a rainy day. Very well structured about the Swedish rail history. Has everything from the start of railroads to modern railroads. Has some great examples of steam engines. Explains the development of Sweden from a poor third world country into a modern well fare state in the context of railroads.

This museum is one of the places we frequently visit when we are in Sweden. This year we were quite disappointed to find that 70% of the museum was gone or not accessible. All the nice exhibits like old relay control panels and electronics are gone. The best parts of the museum are not there anymore. Do not expect a... More

This is the place to go to with children on a rainy day! It's not expensive and you learn about the railroads. Everyone likes it and afterwards you can go for a walk in the forrest behind. From 5 years and up I would say. I have always taken my primary classes here.
