Two moms with two kids just loved our autumn ride to Vaxholm. Gustav was polite, considerate, welcoming. Friendly with 5 year old and 10 year old boys. Was punctual, timely and understanding. Will return back in Summer and will definately go back to Stockholm Boat Tours. Thank you!

The boat tour should at the top or close to the top your list if you are visiting Stockholm. We went on beautiful autumnal day and this tour really gives you a sense how pretty this city is. The boats are spacious and you get a headset which explains all the landmarks you are passing and some of the historical context.
You can sit back and take in the views and get talking to other like minded ppl.
This is one of things that you cannot go to Stockholm and not do!

Great selection of boat tours available. Our favourite one is the 2 hour grand boat tour of stockholm which goes around the whole area and includes the beautiful archipelago area aldo. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, bar and snacks. Good price.

Got tickets from street vendor for an archipelago boat tour that would take 3 hours with a one hours stop on an island. Tour guide from Spain, talked very little on the first half znd said nothing on the way back . This was basically a shuttle for locals as there were several dropoff and/or pickups. The vender showed us a map of what we would see, but 2nd half mostly retraced the route so it was in my opinion not a tour of the archipelago.

We took the Red Boat from the Palace to the Vasa to the ABBA museum and back. It was a lovely day to be out on the water. The headphones provided some history along the route.

Sitting inside... out of weather but also that means yu don't have as nice of view. Enjoyed being on the water to tour the many areas.

OK, I was biased. I had already used services of the tour company "Stromma" in Helsinki, just before coming to Stockholm, and I was tremendously impressed, so when I found that Stromma were offering boat tours in Stockholm, I took two of them. I only had one afternoon, I regret not having time to take any more! The ones I went on, were: "Royal Canal Tour" and "Under the Bridges". There is audio available in several languages, I found the English commentary excellent. History buffs will really love it. So will photo buffs. And if it is a sunny day, there is no better way to spend it as a tourist, than going round the various islands in boat! Kids would find it quite fascinating, though they might find the commentary a bit boring. The commentary is clearly aimed at adults. These tours are fairly costly, but what the hell, you are in one of the most expensive cities on earth, you cannot do it on the cheap! No need to book in advance, just go to the Stromma office on the pier, and buy your tickets. Seats are quite comfortable, and as the boats are traveling in between the islands that constitute the city of Stockholm, you are in no danger of getting sea-sick. In short: I strongly recommend these tours!

It is a very Nice boat trip around Stockholm with this tour boat, expensive for 50minutes but it wins because of the nature.
