My wife n I both were very impressed with how Renata handle our private tour. When she picked us up in the hotel, she explain in detail our itinerary and even she offers extra boat tour which at the beginning we kind of unsure whether to take it or not. Luckily we were blessed to have such a very good weather in Stockholm;therefore, we agreed to take the boat tour.
The private tour started by walking to the Beautiful City Hall of Stockholm (we stayed in Sheraton which apparently the City Hall was just across the street) and then were picked up by a Mercedes Benz Van which is very clean and with a friendly driver as well.
Then we were dropped at the beautiful lake to continue with our boat tour.
To my surprise the boat tour actually was a beautiful solar panel boat and were only fit in privately for Me and My Wife plus Renata n Thomas the friendly boat owner, very private...Apparently it was really a good choice to follow Renata’s suggestion to alter our initial tour program with to include the boat tour at no additional cost. This boat tour really showed us Stockholm from different view which we wouldn’t be able to see from the land...plus we rode an exclusive solar boat ( I included our pix taken with Thomas n the solar boat)
After the boat tour, back to the Benz and Renata took us drove to the high spot of Stockholm to see the panoramic view of Stockholm. Then our journey continue to exploring Gamla Stan old town, which she brought us to the narrowest street and the smallest statue as well n finishing up at the Nobel Museum.
Then we reached Vasa Museum for our final tour destination. Renata explanation were soooo good that many people in the Vasa museum were eavesdrop to her explanation how the Vasa sank and salvaged...
For all you guys whom wanted to enjoy the best of Stockholm, don’t be hesitate to contact stoRytouR..it offers a top notch private tour experience (I had been joining many2 private tours in many different countries). Renata is really a super friendly stockholmers and you will get a plus point as well, Renata is very good in taking pictures. Guarantee all your pix taken by her would be sooo good...

As our port of entry to Stockholm was in Nynashamn, a good 45-55 min ride away, we opted to take a tour with Story Tours after reading reviews on here. Unless you take a cruise ship tour, this may be your only option unless you try to take public transportation to the city, something I wouldn't recommend due to the distance. The tour was great and Renata, the owner, met us at the port. We were a group of 6 and our guide Kirsti was fantastic. We had a walking tour of Gamla Stan, the Vasa museum, a boat tour around Djurgarden, saw the changing of the guards at the Royal Palace and more. Had lunch in a great place off the main square in Gamla Stan, where we ate our lunch in a part of the restaurant that was an old jail cell. Also had time for fiska, a traditional coffee and pastry break. If you visit Stockholm, I would highly recommend this tour!

The notion she gives tours is apparently fiction. We booked a private tour 3 days in advance and the guide cancelled it less than two hours before we were due to meet. It seems we were thrown over for a cruise group. Having driven an hour and planned our day around the tour we were not best pleased by her unprofessional attitude.

I am very sorry to hear about your disappointment about the cancellation of the tour.
As an experienced traveller, you must be aware that cancellations can occur due to unforeseen circumstances. However, it is extremely rare for us to cancel tours. Due to extreme weather conditions (fog in the early hours) on the day of your booking, 80 of our cruise ship Emerald Princess guests had to dock 60km south of Stockholm, causing cancellation of your tour. In situations like this, every tour operator would prioritise those stranded far away from Stockholm ahead of those who are already in town and are able to make alternative arrangements.
I cancelled the tour 6 hours prior to the starting time by sending you a text message to the phone number I got from you while taking your booking on the phone. I did not get a reply from you, so I called the same number 2 hours prior to the tour and I was surprised to get through to a man who, while talking to me was engaged in a conversation on the other line.
Nevertheless, your feedback helps us to get better and grow stronger. From now on, we will make sure that even experienced travellers book via e-mail and not by phone. This will give us the certainty that they have read and accepted the terms of use including our cancellation policy. These are stated clearly in the bottom part of the Walking Tours section on our website.
I hope very much you were able to replace the 75 minutes you had reserved for our Old Town Walking Tour in a pleasant way on that sunny and warm summer day.

We were in Stockholm on a Baltic cruise so our time was limited. We did not want a cruise ship tour; this is exactly what we were looking for. There was enough history yet when we came upon a park we were able to stop for coffee and a nice chat with our guide Renata. You can’t do that on a “regular tour”. This was the best way to see this lovely city, thanks Renata! 5 Stars!!!!

Old Town Walking Tour with stoRy touRs is one of the best walking tours I have ever taken part in. Renata , our guide showed us hidden treasures in the Old Town, brought history of Sweden to life .She also told us about some Swedish peculiarities. All in all the tour was awesome.

I went on this tour with my two daughters -9 and 11 on a sunny (but crisp) morning! Renata was an excellent guide keeping us in patches of sun during her longer stories and kept all 3 of us engaged throughout the tour! On our return to Riga we brought some of the interesting facts home to see if similar sites could be found in our own old town. Fun & interesting! And extra special treat -- kids under 12 walk the tour for free!

I can recall this sunny but icy-cold March morning: Stockholm’s Old Town was awaking very slowly to life and Spring. You were such diligent listeners (inspite of the cold) that it was absolutely my pleasure to show you around Gamla stan and reveal some of the hidden gems, more to come while next time in Stockholm :)
It would be interesting to find out which similarities you found between Stockholm’s and Riga’s Old Towns!! Who knows, maybe you can give me a guided tour when I visit Riga again. We visited Stockholm for a long weekend at Midsummer (2012) to celebrate and relax. We were lucky to have booked a guided tour through Gamla Stan as it is surely a great place to visit. It is the heart of Stockholm and a place that you can walk around in for hours to enjoy the old, historic streets and buildings. On the tour, we had learned so much more about this place, though, than we could have done on our own. It uncovered some hidden secrets of this place and gave those streets and squares a real meaning. Thank you Renata for showing us around!

BARDZO POLECAM! Ciekawy spacer, inspirujacy, a nasza przewodniczka Renia Broda, która zna biegle kilka jezykow super profesjonalna, o ogromnej kulturze, wiedzy, z poczuciem humoru. To byla krotka wycieczka, ale WARTO BYLO! Anglicy mowia: One of the best things to do! Zgadzam sie z tym! I wielka z tym zasluga Reni! I had a long list of things to do on my trip to Stockholm. One of these was a walking tour around the Old Town. I was therefore very pleased to do the Christmas Old Town Walking Tour. The guide was highly professional, interesting, lively and charming and the tour was one of my happiest memories from my stay in this beautiful city.
