The "House of CUlture" is a municipal facility set bang in the middle of the city. I went with my grandson last week adn we spent our time on the 4th floor which is entirely devoted to children. The rest of the complex has theatres, cinemas etc. On the 4th floor a large area is especially for small children 0... More

This place is a bit of a bizarre mix of things. We went there primarily to meet friends and eat on the top floor cafe which was fine but not spectacular. We also wandered round some of the exhibitions which ranged from mediumly interesting to not very interesting. We also considered coming back to see a show but there were... More

A wide range of activities are available there : exhibitions, theatre, playing chess, having coffee, reading... Be sure to check the website beforehand in order not to be too lost ! If you just go there to see what it looks like, you have a great view from the top floor, and can hang a bit, but nothing much more.

The place is located on the main square of the city and it has so much to offer. They have free/paid exhibitions, theater, cinema, library, room for kids, restaurants, caffe places, dance studio, disco ... the whole family can find something interesting.

Good place to go on a rainy day, kulturhuset is filled with things to do for the whole family. Also has places to eat. In the summer the rooftop restaurant is to be recommended as it has a good view out over central Stockholm.

The library for children at the 4th floor of Kulturhuset in Stockholm is a little paradise for both grown ups and children. Full of the classical children's literature exposed on a lot of shelves at various heights, but not only books, lots of fun spaces for climbing and going into small nooks and tunnels, arts and craft activity for a... For children: The Rum for Barn (room for kids) is located on the 4th floor of the Kulturhuset. It's a fun library for kids. Most books are in Swedish, but there are hundreds in English, Spanish and other languages. Make sure to check the hours before you go. Also, it tends to fill up quickly when the weather is bad,... This is an archive of modern Swedish culture. In this one building there are theaters, a film, sound and book library, two art exhibition halls, a model of Stockholm, a children's play room, and several cafes. The rooftop cafe is one of my favorite places to people watch in Stockholm. The cafe has well priced lunches and a good assortment... More

In fact you should start your Stockholm experience at Kulturhuset, get a map, write down your interests and make a list of priorities be in boat-tours, idiosyncratic fruitflies or quilting. Enjoy, celebrate your own unique interests. You can write down your desires and questions to tripadvisor and you will really enjoy your time in Stockholm.

Great place for people watching over a cup of coffee. The cafe in the 2nd floor has big glass windows to the square, also nice to watch the movement of the city.
