We did this by ourselves - did not realise you could do a guided tour. If I had known before I definitely would have done it. Still it was worthwhile - went with the recommendations from Visit Stockholm.com

I read about the subway art on Wikipedia and decided to check it out with my one week Access Card transit card in hand. Central Station is on the list but each of the three lines has different art, the Blue Line had the most impressive designs. I rode the metro and would disembark when I saw a station that... More

You can admire the art of the Stockholm metro stations on your own, but I highly recommend joining a guided tour. It lasts about an hour, during which you'll visit a handful of stations. The guide gives information about selected pieces of art at each station, as well as the story behind the artworks, the artists and the metro art... More

Absolutely amazing! It is combination of practical metro train stops plus art plus great locations for photo sessions.

It can sound weird thing about make tourism in the subway but in Stockholm is something worthy. Lot of stations are full of arts in the walls and most part of them, the station itself looks like a cavern painted with different king of colors and drawings. Very unique and I definitely recommend to go and check it out.

Stockholm like you've never seen it before!!! The geology under Sweden's capital is so hard the subway tunnels can be hewn out of solid rock and left unlined. These ones have been adorned with art and bright colourful designs to create a stimulating visual environment. The 'Blue' and 'Red' lines offer the most attractions - Universitatet, Stadion and Stockholm C... More

If you want to do a guided tour, check out the days that they run. We did it by ourselves on a Monday when the free tour does not operate. Even so, we did a google search of the best stations and we were able to see some of the very unusual art, sculptures etc. At the cost of a... More

If you are unlucky with weather just grab a 24 hours public transport ticket and take Stockholm tube. There are number of stations with pretty interesting decoration art. But if the wether is find and you don't have too much time I would rather suggest to enjoy a view of city districts

I can't imagine British Engineers agreeing to something as visionary as this. Drilling through the rock and then allowing artists to decorate the interiors, sometimes straight onto the rock, sometimes designing the tiled interiors. This is a terrific project and really worth a trip even if you don't need to travel.. I did not actually go on the guided tour... More

We would not have used the metro on our trip and without this fun, but too short, tour we would have missed a big piece of the whimsy of the Swedes. The pace was quick as we covered several locations on different lines and the acoustics weren't great but the guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She provided us with a... More
