If you fancy hanging out like a local and drinking in (literally or otherwise) some of the finest views of Stockholm, Montelliusvagen is your place. Perched atop the final section of lake Mälaren just before it joins the Baltic Sea and almost straight across from...More

Perfect view point, located nearby the city centre (on the island of Sodermalm), from where you can see old town and city hall. In the season, at nights you won't find better spot for observing northern lights in Stockholm!

nice spot over the city - if you have the occasion climb up there and enjoy the view - likely the best to my knowledge

Worth going South from Gamla Stan over the Slussen building sight and turning up the hill for splendid views of the town and waterways ... some interesting streets, shops and eateries in this quieter part of town, too.

It does not matter if you come in the winter or summer, day or night. This is the best panorama over the city and a must see for everyone visiting Stockholm. It is highly recommended.

Great place to take some panoramic photos of Stockholm and it's close to the old city. May get a bit crowded.

My wife and I walked up to Monteliusvagen to see the sunset and to see the view of Gamla Stan and City Hall. The walk is uphill but is not too difficult. It is well worth the effort to take in the views of Stockholm.

We stayed in Loginn Hotel and this was our view all night. Beautiful city, great to see all the floating ice.

Even in frozen February, this is a great place to stroll and take in the views of Stockholm, particularly the City Hall.

Nearby

Mariatorget
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a
postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its
center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase
neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential
area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes
to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with
sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars.
Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park

Hi, no, you can't! To be honest, unless you have a bigger reason for that, its not necessary. Its 2 streets away from one main avenue -Hornsgatan- (5min walk). The point is that that part of the city is already a hill, so... More
