On our visit, the museum building was under renovation and it had moved to the castle. However, there was an exhibition change going on and the museum in the castle was also closed.

It is really one of this awfully boring museums that you were forced to visit with school when you were 10 years old. And don't really understand how it could be so dull. They might have some temporary interesting exhibition but they are usual also to political and pedagogical.

I tried to visit, however it was closed. I couldn’t read the notice on the door as it was in Swedish but I understood the word renovate. Not sure how long it will be closed for.

A nice museum, especially in the summer with the OpenArt exhibit going on. There is some pieces of arts and pieces of history. Some infos are in English. There are also a few summaries in English. But most are in swedish, so you have to be a good english speaker and be able to read a bit of swedish to understand everything (or google translate)…

I didn't have high expectations and only visited because it was free and on my way from the castle to Wadköping, but I absolutely loved it. A very interesting and unusual exhibition about the history of the city, written in a very enjoyable manner, I could feel the author's affection for the city. Other smaller and nice exhibitions too, but mostly in Swedish (the main one is in English too).…
