Gothenburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The sky is very blue, the people are the nicest in the world. Food is wonderful and tour was very well done. My grandmother left Sweden at that port in the early 1900's, so it was very emotional for me.

about 400 yrs old; original moat still there; part of 9 meter high wall; king stood on hill and pointed to where he wanted his new capital, in the middle of a marsh; that's the statue in town square now; 20,000 Jews make there home there today; English taught in grade school; not in EU

Gothenburg is a really nice small town of sweden. Tram connectivity is very good. Many good attractions including casinos and islands. Southern Goteborg Archipelago is very nice place. Ferries tour is excellent.

Twice visited this city, and still very charming. Once getting better acquainted, more and more of its many attractions and inner attractiveness is discovered. It takes some time to digest all the excellent architectural beauty of this superb town. The cleanness and tranquillity are impressive. Highly recommended - go around by ferry boat to see it all from another side.

Gothenburg known as Goteborg to Scandinavia is situated on the West coast of Sweden, was founded in 1621 by King Gustavus Adolphus. I liked this city very much. The city is widely spread with a moderate population on Gota river. It is a very pleasant city with nicely laid roads, avenues and streets with well nurtured gardens. Residents are nice... More
