We had a great time on our afternoon visit for a sleigh ride and visit to the reindeer farm. The host was very helpful and informative, welcoming us in the car park and providing all the information and safety guidance for the sleigh ride.
The ride itself was very enjoyable, drawn through the forest on a cold, still, sunny day, by a slightly wayward reindeer, Lari, and accompanied at a distance by the farm’s dog. Once back at the farm we were given hot berry juice and snacks, and a very interesting talk on how the reindeer are managed and looked after in the Finnish farms.
Overall a very enjoyable and interesting experience.

Unique experience in a wonderful winter setting! We learned a lot about these special and shy animals and it was absolutely clear, that the well-being of the animals comes first for everybody working at the farm. Definitely no mass tourism, but very friendly and authentic, Thank you very much, we absolutely loved our visit!

We spent a dark afternoon sledding through the forest, four adults and two kids age 5 and 9. Total silence and snow covered scenery. Then back inside for hot drinks, cookies and a really informative talk about farming reindeers. We would highly recommend.

An excellent trip, the reindeers were in abundance and you were in close proximity to them. A grand family run business very friendly imparting lots of knowledge about the reindeer, local wildlife and also some history of Finland’s past, historic interest.
I enjoyed a circuit on a reindeer sled and then a hot fruit drink next to a log fire.
Beautiful creatures.

I booked a tour trough Wild About Lapland, but I felt that they need to have a review as well. On the day that we were visiting, we were handled by Johanna. The same minute, we arrived to the farm, she came to the parking lot and greeted us. As we were few minutes early, she showed us reindeer calfs. Together with the guide from the company that we came with, they kept us entertained until all the other clients arived.
When the group was completed, we were greeted and Johanna told us few small things about the farm. Then she escorted us across the street, where we got instructions on how to behave around reindeers and during the ride.
Then other two girls (Sanna and Lydia) with the reindeers arrived. We were assigned a sledge and they took pictures of us and told us the name of the reindeer that was pulling the sledge.
And off we went.
The ride trough the forest was magical. It was relaxing and the view was fantastic! We got lucky with the weather and we had a chance to enjoy the sunset.
After the ride, I stayed behind a bit and got the chance to took some photos (I attached those) of the reindeers. Then I ran after the others. We were escorted to the traditional lappish Kota, where we got some nice snacks and warm berry juice.
While enjoying the served, Johanna told us things about the farm and reindeers. And boy, that girl knows how to talk!
I have enjoyed the visit from the begining to the end!
Thanks to everyone for this experience. Keep up the good job with the reindeers and please never get too crowded (small groups are so much more enjoyable)!

This was such a wonderful experience. The reindeers are magnificently strong and gentle animals. We got to ride and drive the sleigh as our Master Reindeer Gunther (who’s the real driver here😊) moved us around. We were hiven a chance to feed them w lichen (their favorite, we were told) but instructed to handle the food and not touch or pat them at any time as reindeers really does not want touch of either their skin or their antlers. After this, we got to warm up in their Kota given warm coffee ( or tea if you want) and cookies that seemed more delicious in that kota. Truly enjoyed doing this.

I know many reindeer farms in Lapland but Sieriporo is absolutely the best. The owner is very friendly, gives you lots of information and tells you everything about reindeers.
You can feed and pat the animals and take photos as long as you want. Not to forget their lovely dogs... Afterwards you‘ll get cookies and drinks in a cozy lappish Kota with a fire.
I also did two reindeer safaris with them, they are absolutely recommendable. You will notice how much the owner loves his animals and home. It is truly a magic place and a visit there a must do in Rovaniemi.

SieriPoro is an "authentic" reindeer farm in Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. The resort is located some 16-17 km from the center of the city. We had a nice little reindeer safari ride and said hello to their reindeer. They really have lots of reindeer: I guess over 150. The young ones were very cute (I guess they call the "calfs"). We did not have time to test the restaurant which looked nice. The environment is peaceful and beautiful (especially the lake Sierijarvi) and the zone sparsely populated: during the reindeer ride we did not really see other houses. The road go to the place was slippery on that morning, but the owner said it was due to exceptional conditions. Overall an enjoyable afternoon experience.
