The exhibition about tradition of Christmas and differences in celebrating it in different countries is very interesting. The only problem is that you cannot have a look at the complete exhibition without lining up for a picture with Santa Claus. The picture with Santra Claus himself is very expensive (€ 40.- and up)

We visited Santa here in early November and had a wonderful experience. The kids absolutely loved it. Santa gave them plenty of time and we gladly paid for the photos and video afterwards. The price was surprisingly reasonable as well.

This was a fun stop for the family and they do a great job here interacting and keeping the Christmas theme. There is a lot of local items for sale but make sure to look at the other shops in the complex as well. Only downside was the cost for pictures with Santa. A little too high for my taste... More

Santa photos had long waiting time and when you finally got to meet him, we were very rushed through with having the photo taken, hardly time to think of seating position even. For 80AUD we would have preferred to have an 'ordinary' pic and a 'fun' one, both wouldn't have taken more than 10 mins but we were rushed through... More

I was nice and pieceful meeting with Santa Claus. We have time to discuss some 5 min : apparrently in summer time is not as busy as in December in his village. We bought a little souvenir photo of our meeting which was 20 euro or something. The permanent exhibition about Christmas was not big put rich in information. One... More

Christmas Exhibition is nice but not the Santa's room and himself. He seemed to be bored as no one stopped there for foto shooting.

I'm not that much into Christmas and Santa however now I believe. This was a short hour of fun. My friends have been before and during winter and summer months it's a party!! Must do is see Santa, send postcards or even a letter from Santa himself on Christmas day and have York passport stamped if you have the space.... More

We landed in the small airport. No taxis were there, and all rental cars were gone. It took ~ 30 minutes to get a taxi. Welcome to Rovaniemi ...

Had a good walk around took in all the information and had a good time taking photos. Not one for the kids but the photograph option with Santa at the end is another good option.

Free of charge, and interesting exhibition on X-mas traditions, throughout the world. You can also meet Santa here, and the queue is going to be shorter than at Santa´s Office, so maybe a good tip if you have kids :)
