Our story starts in Rovaniemi with two mates, who in 1982 had four snowmobiles and a desire to share the beautiful sceneries of Lapland with other people. The plan was to arrange adventures that guests would remember for life. The pair decided to offer customers something new: meticulously organised adventures in the wilderness nature of Lapland. The market welcomed this concept with open arms and Lapland Safaris began to grow both in reputation and in size. Nowadays we are the most experienced and reputable safari company in Finland operating in Rovaniemi, Levi, Ylläs, Saariselkä and Luosto.

Fishing experience by snow mobile, absolutely 100% recommend, my friend went in day before to enquire, staff were super friendly and helpful , booked trip same day, what an experience! The snow mobile are fantastic, just an amazing experience, tour guide caught a fish in minutes so that was a great experience, we ate it with the sausages he cooked, made fires, hot drinks on tap! Absolutely wonderful amazing experience, thank you so much for making it great xx

The hotel setting was magnificent - inviting walks and beautiful sunsets. The room was perfect - wonderful view onto the woods and lake beyond. We had a sauna in our room which we thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant was a revelation - creative dishes from local ingredients, served with aplomb. The breakfasts included unique offerings which invite indulgence - we indulged.

My friends and I attended the New Year's Eve party organized by Lapland Safaris.
Well organized party, with pick up at the main hotels in Rovaniemi.
In the afternoon you can pick up, free of charge, the suit to put over your clothes.
The party is organized in a forest where, with a lot of luck, we also managed to see the Northern Lights.
Upon arrival a frozen alcoholic beverage is offered, inside there are their typical Kotta with fire to warm up.
From a stage are performed several performances and shows by locals, also excellent music. My friends and I had a great time!

My Mom and I did multiple excursions with Lapland safaris and they were excellent every time. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable, professional and prompt. Everything runs very smoothly, from getting your winter gear to getting where you need to. We did the snowmobile northern lights safari last night, and our guide was so great at making me feel comfortable and encouraged. And we saw the northern lights! Can't recommend them enough!

We booked a HUSKY SAFARI (10km) and everything was well organized. The transport to the farm was short and quick. And the farm was really great. We had a great guide who quickly noticed that he really loved working with the dogs and the dogs themselves. It was very informative and after the safari we were able to pet the dogs and ask questions and find out about life and work on the farm.

My husband and I booked the Kota Dinner at the Ounasvaara Chalets. Our chef was Jozsef and he was absolutely phenomenal. It turned out we were the only guests that night so we had a private dinner where Jozsef made us a delicious 3-course meal and regaled us with Rovaniemi history and facts. Super funny, too! Highly recommend this experience as a fantastic taste of traditional Finnish cuisine.

We took 3 excursions with this organization. Three beautiful experiences with different guides each time. We did the sled dogs, snowshoeing and electric snow bike. The welcome is perfect, the cold outfits allow to spend a pleasant time without worrying about the -27°C encountered.
Special mention for snowshoeing, started by day, break around a wood fire and exchanges with the two guides. End of the hike by the light of the guide's lamp, at the top. We were away from the city, Lapland Safari came and then brought us back to every excursion. Everything was perfect from start to finish.

Did the Santa Claus Safari with the lovely guide Linda! We first rode snowmobiles over the frozen river to the Reindeer farm. What fun that was. Great experience at the Reindeer farm which was informative. Got to ride the sled and feed the Reindeer. After snowmobiling back to the start we transferred to a bus that took us to the Santa Claus Village. Had nice lunch and free time to wander. It would've been nice to have a bit longer there ( some stayed on- you have to make your own way back). But it is a lot to get into the day.
Linda made it all very enjoyable, her infectious enthusiasm was great. She loves what she is doing,and it shows!
We really enjoyed every bit of the tour.

Hi I’m minutes away from booking a trip for December 2021 with my 4 year old and 1 year and 6 month old. I’m booking with TUI so do I need to book the reindeer safari and Santa Claus separately or with Lapland safaris? Also is there anything else that I need to know before I book ?

Winter season is lasting until mid April, but most of the Travel Agencies selling trips to Rovaniemi are finishing operations during 3rd week of March meaning that last week is already quite relaxed. En cuanto al precio no te puedo ayudar ya que fui en un viaje con todo organizado por la empresa por lo que no lo se. Las motos de nieve las tienen pegadas al rio en el mismo pueblo de rovaniemi, a unos 200m del hotel donde nos encontrabamos
