About
Our story starts in Rovaniemi with two mates, who in 1982 had four snowmobiles and a desire to share the beautiful sceneries of Lapland with other people. The plan was to arrange adventures that guests would remember for life. The pair decided to offer customers something new: meticulously organised adventures in the wilderness nature of Lapland. The market welcomed this concept with open arms and Lapland Safaris began to grow both in reputation and in size. Nowadays we are the most experienced and reputable safari company in Finland operating in Rovaniemi, Levi, Ylläs, Saariselkä and Luosto.

We did a variety of tours with Lapland Safaris including their Heart of Nature tour, Northern Lights by snowmobile, Reindeer Safari, husky sledding and Ranua Wildlife Park.
Really loved the Heart of Nature tour as it was full day of snowmobiling including a cooked lunch and opportunity to try snow shoeing and ice-fishing at a stunning frozen lake.
The Reindeer Safari was god but the guide that night had limited English (it was his 3rd language and still a million times better than our Finnish) so us and some of the guests weren't able to ask as many questions as we would have liked.
Ranua wildlife park is easy to do on your own but having the guide with us added to the experience and gave us some additional information about the wildlife we were seeing.
The 10km Husky sledding was an absolute delight and making friends with the dogs afterwards was a highlight, including some of the puppies and retired dogs. Additional information about how it all works and the importance of the dogs to the area provided over hot drinks added another level to the tour.
The location of the office was easy to find and you could tell the staff really love their job. They provide all the equipment required such as full suits, boots, socks, helmets, mittens etc.
Would highly recommend this company for any of their activities in Rovaniemi

Amazing experience! We did both the 10 km husky safari and the 2 hours snowmobile experience with them and it was great! Great pickup service, great guides! Would highly recommend!

In all my yeas of travel I have never experienced exploitation of tourists like I did 2 nights ago on the Search fr the Northern Lights bus tour with Lapland Safaris. My husband and I paid 202 Euros …. I had a rip off, not because we didn’t see the lights (that’s just the luck of the draw), but because after one short stop, we were driven for one and a half hours on a boring, endless bus ride through the dark forest…we stopped for 10 minutes to look for the lights …somewhere….then we’re driven back for another 1 and a half boring hours. 3 wasted hours and the most expensive bus ride I’ve ver been on.
The bus ride was simply to fill in time…what a con.
Everyone in the bus as extremely upset and angry.
I contacted Lapland Safaris the following day to ask fr my money back….but haven’t heard a thing from them. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!

Inka, a young lady from Lapland Safaris, picked us up from the hotel and helped us kit up. She then took us for a guided tour to a reindeer farm about 30 minutes away. The drive was excellent and we really enjoyed riding the snow mobiles. Inka observed all safety precautions to keep the group safe. At the farm Marie too over who was the farm owner. She very graciously conducted us around the farm. The self driven Reindeer Sleigh adventure was wonderful.

This was the highlight of our Lapland trip! Juuli was the best instructor we could imagine. If we would book another snow mobile tour, it would definitely be with Lapland Safaris again

My husband and I just came back from Lapland and we had the most incredible experience with Lapland Safaris!
We used them for three separate tours. The Aurora borealis tour, snowmobiling to a reindeer farm followed by a visit to Santa Claus village, and lastly a husky ride. We LOVED every single one!
Our favorites were the Aurora borealis tour (despite not being able to see the lights) and the snowmobiling to a reindeer farm followed by a visit to Santa Claus village. We were fortunate to have incredible guides. Shout out to Pierre and Veronika who made our tours incredible! They were knowledgeable, friendly and fun guides! Without them, our trip would not have been the same! We were also lucky enough to be paired up with some awesome families during the trip that made our trip even better.
I would highly recommend using this company for your excursions when in Rovaniemi. Going into the trip I was unsure whether these types of activities would be fun for a couple with no children but I'm happy to say it was and I would do it all over again. :)

Hi I’m minutes away from booking a trip for December 2021 with my 4 year old and 1 year and 6 month old. I’m booking with TUI so do I need to book the reindeer safari and Santa Claus separately or with Lapland safaris? Also is there anything else that I need to know before I book ?

Lapland have many Safaris that may meet your needs. There us a North Lights Safari and also the Santa Claus Safari. There are others also that I believe are equally as good

Snow mobile Safaris are Interesting ,if can't drive, expert driver will help,lotse children also enjoy on trolley.

The Lapland Safaris provided suits, socks, and hats for us. For normal outside walking the town dress, waterproof shoes with woolen socks, and normal winter thermals/hat/gloves.

La visita a Santa Claus la haríamos por nuestra cuenta, porque nos alojaremos en el Santa Claus Holiday Village. Thanks for your message and warmly welcome to Rovaniemi, Lapland!
Winter season is lasting until mid April, but most of the Travel Agencies selling trips to Rovaniemi are finishing operations during 3rd week of March meaning that last week is already quite relaxed. Between 15th-18th March I warmly recommend to check availabilites and do bookings in advance. Our availabilites can be seen from our web shop at our webpage

and thank you for your message! For hotels not located in the city center we will arrange a transfer. Those hotels are e.g. Santasport, Lapland Hotels Sky Ounasvaara, Lapland Hotels Ounasvaara Chalets,Santa Claus Holiday Village, Snowman World, Santa's Igloos.

Hola quiero contratar una excursion con moto de nieve, queria saber si contratando una moto para dos personas tienes que pagar el precio que indica por persona o hay un precio especial ya que se utiliza solo una moto.
Tambien queria saber el punto de salida de las excursiones realizadas con esta empresa.

En cuanto al precio no te puedo ayudar ya que fui en un viaje con todo organizado por la empresa por lo que no lo se. Las motos de nieve las tienen pegadas al rio en el mismo pueblo de rovaniemi, a unos 200m del hotel donde nos encontrabamos
