Joulukka offers comprehensive experiences for the whole family deep in the mystical, authentic Lappish forest. Join the Elves in their daily chores in operating Santa's Secret Command Center or the Trolls' mighty Brotherhood. Also the Snowy Girl lives in Joulukka taking you on an exciting journey in finding Santa and his magic powers. You may also spend time doing Santa's favorite sports such as ice fishing, skiing, kick sledging and tobogganing and sit by an open fire viewing the stars and searching for Northern Lights. The highlight of the day is when the children whisper their toy wishes to Santa's ear and finish the thrilling day in Joulukka with a delicious meal.

We went to Joulukka 'Secret Forest' on Friday 2nd December. We booked the 4pm tour for 5 adult and one child (9 years old). I must say the trip had us all believing again!! We were collected approx. 16.10 from our hotel where Elf Candy appeared in the reception - she was absolutely fantastic and was so bubbly and friendly,... More

I'm actually a guide and I had a private group for three days. We decided to bring our customers to Joulukka for first time and I was a bit nervous because my customers are very important to me, and I had no clue about the place. I was well surprised by the authenticity of the place and the performance of... More

Our experience felt rushed and impersonal. I don't feel that we got value for money. It was nothing different to any other Santa experience. Santa did not address our children by name despite being assured in advance that he would. Save your money and go to the Santa at Santa Village or Santa Park.

We booked this experience for 2 adults and 3 children at a cost of nearly 700 euros. The trip is advertised 4pm until 7pm but we didn't get picked up until after 4pm then had to stop at three more hotels before setting off to the forest. The event finished about 6.45pm. Firstly we were welcomed by the elves who... More

We read the reviews before we booked the trip and with 4 days in Rovanemi, we saved this trip until last - we were so excited for it. Maybe it has changed since previous years, I don't know but it was such a disappointment and has really knocked our whole experience. Beginning with the 'fairytale path' - this is basically... More

Overall it was a good experience at Joulukka. The Elves and the "surprise guest" made the whole outing very special. It is suitable for children 3-8years old. If you are on a budget, a similar experience (indoor instead of outdoor) at a fraction of the price can be achieved at SantaPark. It's operated by the same company.

My 7 year old had recently decided that Santa wasn't real. This certainly changed her mind and bought the magic back to a newly non believer! When the elf, Sparkles, turned up to take us on our adventure my daughter's eyes nearly fell out of her head. I even started to think Sparkles really was an elf. She was amazing... More

We went here in December during our two night trip to Lapland and went here on one of the days. From start to finish it was AMAZING!! We drove through the forest in search of the elves only to find an elf dancing on the side of the road to let us know we had found them! We then went... More

Dear Irishnic1982, as the first sun rays are coming out in Lapland, the elves have been enjoying reading reviews from the previous winter. So many great memories and so many true moments that we almost wish that the winter would already be back (the last snow just left us in May). We hope that you kept a bit of Joulukka's... More

Visit Santa's Command Centre in the depths of the Finnish forest it is absolutely magical. We were met by the elves who take you round, who are absolutely brilliant; they truly stay in their characters 100% of the time, even when a visitors backpack caught on fire from a candle!

Dear Lynn W, Oh "the almighty Gingerbread Cookie", that was a very interesting day in Joulukka. The magic spark just flew from that candle. But it was the best thing to see the visitor smiling up to his ears, not worried at all, because he was enjoying the visit so much. The elves will forever remember you and we hope... More
