Brilliant resort for first times skiers and children. We booked this resort through Cystal ski and we were not disappointed. We wanted somewhere that would be easy to get around with a 3 and 7 year old and would have plenty to do part from the skiing as we weren't sure how our 3 year old would take to skiing.... More

We booked one week at the Maston Aitio cabins , which I have already reviewed . We do not ski but we booked our holiday with Crystal ski . We went with the sole intention of walking , which we did every day . There is a huge network of cross country ski tracks and walking tracks where you can... More

Beautiful quiet slopes, picturesque views. No queues for the lifts so plenty of time on the slopes. Great accommodation, located right next to the slopes so you can ski back to your door,

After visiting Levi last year we were slightly dissapointed by the length of the slopes in comparison but the slopes are great for beginners wide slopes with very fiew people on them but there are plenty of nice reds and blacks fr those more advanced skiiers with plenty of lifts and bars to warm up at. We havent taken any... More

Ruka is a small village catering for downhill skiing, but not so well resourced as a centre for cross country skiing. There are plenty of good tracks, but no clear maps to make following them easy. Even the information centre was not helpful in helping you plan your routes. There were a couple of good restaurants and bars, but Ruka... More

The resort is very pretty with very good snow and lovely views from the top. The slopes looked fantastic and were well kept by the groomers. Lots for children to do including a ski through reindeer area where you can feed them. Lots of slope side campfire areas and a good lift network. If you are an advanced skier then... More

The pistes were perfectly maintained, signed and groomed, no nasty lumps, bumps or surprises for the nervous skier and plenty to offer the more advanced skiers. Pistes not overcrowded, sometimes had the whole slope to ourselves. Lifts were well maintained and not too slow. Never found any lift queues.

Ruka is a small ski resort with a 'fjell' rather than a mountain. It is a very pretty place with masses to do. Not the most challenging for experienced skiers but plenty of small slopes which aren't busy and can be accessed from accomodation's door (ski locker outside). Snowmobile into the forest and a fine Northern Lights display whilst on... More

What a place ! An absolute magical winter wonderland ! We stayed for 5 nights in Ruka Suites. Apartments were great and right in the heart of all the activities. We saw the Northern lights twice . Huskey sleigh ride is amazing as was the snow Mibile Safari. We booked a 1 hour 40 mins ski school for me and... More

If you don’t want to ski, there is not much else you can do unless you want to spend hundreds of £s on the tourist trips. We went for a week and got roughly 3 hours 'sunlight' a day. This was fine for us as the slopes are floodlit and we skied every day for at least 5 hours. Apart... More

Dear Queen-star, Sad to hear that you weren’t 100% happy for your Holiday. Maybe you want to come again on the summer time when, we have lots of daylight (endless nights and so) and you can be outside with good weather in the nature. Best regards, Silja/Ski-Inn reception More
