It’s the most common beach in Oulu, not always the best place to swim, because people also go to rivers and lakes for that, which I personally think a better option. But the view is beautiful especially during sunset. Bus number 15 from city centre...More
This beach attracts thousands of sunbathers in the summer. It is located on the Hietasaari Island 30 minutes walk away from Oulu City Centre.
There are a restaurant, a cafe, and a hotel. At the one end of the beach is a landmark Majakka (Lighthouse).
Nice beach. Lots of space and clean. You can lie down to the sand or to the grass. There is couple of ice cream places there. And this summer 2018 a cozy coffee place at the little "light house". Only minus is that there is...More
Having grown up at the beach in Southern California, this is not what I think of as a beach. It has a nice wide expanse of sand, water and no waves. The water itself is very shallow. It seemed as if I walked out a...More

This beach is amazing. A great place to sit and soak up the sun. There is a play area on the beach. There is also a small building, which is free to climb and you get good views of the area. You can also continue...More
In our six days in Oulu, we came to this beach three times! Parking was super simple, the beach is wide and deep with plenty of room. The slope is incredibly gentle. I think we walked out a kilometer and still weren’t over my shoulders!...More
Big beach by the sea, sand bottom. Beach is great for families since it becomes lower slowly. Adults need to walk much further to be able to swim properly. Bathing huts, ice-cream kiosks and restaurants available. Spa, hotel and cottages next to the beach.
First experiance to Gulf of Bothnia sea, when I tasted the water, it wan't salty :)
It hardly takes 20mins from city centre by BUS.
You can find ice cream shops near by beach in summer, pretty much happening place.
