This museum is located in the beautiful Ainola Park. It takes you through the history of Oulu, Northern Ostrobothnia, and the whole Finland. Well worth of the six euros entrance fee.

While somewhat old fashioned extremely interesting. In the basement was a display of the doghilll kids a series of children books based on traditional rural life. Loved the display. There were exhibits showing Oulu from its earliest days to today. We wandered around much longer...More

Def that kinda museum you do not want to miss. It reminded me of Vapriikki museum area in Tampere ...a little bit ..it's smaller but a bit interactive which I like. Overall, solid museum ,I recommend

Extremely cute Koiramäki exhibition for children and adults. You can also play there. Go and enjoy. And next to museum is a beautiful Ainolan puisto.
