    Church visit to take photos
Beautiful (and different) church easily worth a visit. I started the line to get in at 9:40 and it was worth getting in first, before the immediate rush of tourists. Managed to get off a few shots before anyone else entered.

A Church that is outstanding in design
We arrived in Helsinki by cruise ship and decided to explore this lovely city on foot. First off was this unique Church. It was very easy to reach from the Market Square near where our Shuttle had dropped us. What a beautiful place this Church is, even full of tourists it is a calm peaceful place. The organ is just beautiful , unique in its construction. Unlike other Churches this one is so sparse, and that is what gives it its beauty. The simple alter and font are just beautiful. Certainly a must see when in Helsinki.

    Uniquely Designed Church
The church with all its architectural grandiose, seem embedded underground, hence some call it the “rock church “ . What’s worth noticing is the minimalist design and acoustics stability inside. You feel like you’re in a library. Go up the stairs for a better panoramic view. Outside , the exterior looks very plain and simple.

    Unique
What an architectural feat. You can go upstairs into the gallery for better photo opportunities. They probably need to be a little firm with some tourists though because they seem to be getting tours that swell the place up and some jump in front of people taking photos or if they are reading but it is still an interesting place to visit regardless.

A church whose name I couldn't pronounce carved into rock.
It's quite spectacular really, a church carved into a rock. You can see all the patterns in the rock. There's a whole part of the wall that looks like quartz. I could be wrong. To be fair, the roof, made of copper, was as much a sight. It was just €5 to enter and has piano music playing. I'm no expert on acoustics. The church is said to be perfect for that and the music did sound nice. It was also a lovely cool place to relax after a warm day wandering around Helsinki.

One of the most unique churches in the whole world
The church is quite new, as it was built at the end of the 60s. The whole church is dug into Helsinki's natural and really old bedrock. In the church, the bedrock is not hidden and can be seen in many different elements. You can even see traces of excavations on the walls of the church when the it was being built. The roof of the church is a big dome, which is very impressive both from the inside and outside. Definitely a truly unique church worth seeing.

    Unique church
Pretty cool and unique church, being built into/under the rocks and all. Walking on the "roof" (or more like the walls?) outside is nice too. Is this a must-see in Helsinki? I'm not sure. But if you're into churches, in the area, or into unique places, this is probably for you. It's easy to walk to from the harbor. Also, there's a playground on the backside of the church, so it's a great place for families with little ones.

A special place in a special church
We found this place during our first trip to Helsinki. This is a special place and a special church. Not sure who had the idea to bild a church inside a rock. From the inside it looks stylish. Rock, coper and wood is a nice combination.

    The Rock and Copper Church
This amazing church is just one block away from where my best friends live. I went many times by myself for the concerts. The stone walls, altar and roof are gorgeous. Acoustics are wonderful, for organ, piano, orchestra or choirs. You can easily walk to this church from everywhere in downtown Helsinki.

    Great Church. Kind staff.
This is a beautiful church worth visiting if you're in Helsinki. The place is beautiful and staff are very nice. As soon as I arrived and told a member of staff where I was from, she immediatelly started helping me in Spanish, a very good one, I must say, I thought she was Spaniard due to her accent. She welcomed me to Helsinki and explained briefly the church to me in my own language, which I appreciate. I mentioned I always wanted to visit the country because one of my favourite singers, Tarja Turunen, is Finnish and she didn't hesitate to recommend me visiting again later that day for a classic music Concert. It was THE BEST start of my short trip in Helsinki. Soli was her name. I'm grateful for the service and the tips.

It is a temple in a rock with a main area on the ground floor and a second one smaller upstairs. It is something different that you don't see every day. You will need 10 minutes to see it and to take pictures. There is no something else to see and the price is too high.We pay 8 euro per person!!!!

One of the more interesting churches I have ever encountered in visiting 50 countries. It is built sunken into a rock although the slats in the roof although light and visions of the sky to shine through. Truly remarkable place and well worth a short visit. Not sure they hold services here anymore although there were lots of wedding photos.

An architectural masterpiece where the church room has sunlight beaming in from skylightsWish you were here for a music session as the acoustic should be fantastic.A very popular destination so that quiet moment in the church may not occur.A little surprised to have to pay entrance to a church

Beautifully built church. The only thing spoiling it was the crowds of tourists. While we was there we were given a reading which was interesting

Truly is a beautiful modern church which is design and built in a truly unorthodox way.

The finishing and fit outs were beautifully matching the interior of the church with many modern art deco pieces.

The size and the construction of the pipe organ is truly outstanding as well. Please stay around to listen to the acoustics in the church if you have the chance to visit a concert, performance or just to listen to the church organ.

Excellent example of Finnish architecture

A wonderful church and incredible that it was built into solid rock - incredible architecture both inside and out, a great feat of engineering.

The acoustics are suppose to be excellent and so would look to attend a concert here. There is an entrance fee of 8 euros per person which was worth it.

This was truly a biblical experience as the church was overwhelmed by a plague of human locusts from cruise ships (special thanks to Holland America cruise line). The building is remarkable but it is so swarming with people it’s downright unpleasant to visit. Maybe better to pretend you’re a devout Christian and visit during a service.

Very poor value for the 8 Euro entrance fee. Spent all of 10 mins there sat on a pew and took a photo. Very underwhelming. Not even a toilet.

Very peaceful, beautiful. Managed to time my visit with an organ practice/concert and the sound was amazing. Something to see but without the organ playing would have been a very short visit.

Stumbled upon it while wandering about the city. Slightly gimmicky but its unusualness makes you recollect. I wish they'd be more explicit and open about this being a Christian (!) church.
