I enjoyed the people I met their! As far as the experience, I can say I did it. My hotel had a sauna, and I could have saved myself time and money using it. I wanted to visit for the scrub, because in my mind it was going to be like the scrubs I get at the Korean Spa(full on... More

It is suppose to be one if the best public saunas in Helsinki. I did not find it worth going. It is run down, bad kept place which shows turned into a cash cow to the owners with no investment to improve client experience. You walk in and are charged what is stated on their site. 12 Euros ( as... More

Awesome vibe - went on a cold, rainy night. Sitting in the sauna, then throwing on (just) a towel to drink some beers on the street with the locals was almost surreal (def more lax nudity and public drinking laws than Canada!!!) Would definitely recommend to anyone. *bring your own beers - they even have a fridge you can keep... More

Had a great afternoon here while waiting for an incoming flight. Quick trip by metro from Helsinki Central Station, and was very pleasantly surprised. I'll definitely be returning.

If you are hesitant because of the pictures of half-naked people drinking beer outside, don't. Kotiharjun sauna is a very simple and no non-sense facility. Although I find the heat inside the sauna to be too much to enjoy, the experience is unforgettable. The Finns are friendly and you will sure find someone who can help answer your question (if... It was nice to visit typical sauna, meet local people with real , not fake tourist oriented emotions. Friendly woman in reception will offer you towel and drinks (not alcohol). Not far from city center , easy to reach with metro or bus.

I was staying in Kallio so i was right around the corner and it was easy for me to find. I went probably half an hour after they opened and already there was a large group of men in towels sitting outside. I was the only lady for a while however, and the entire hour i was there, only one... More

I enjoyed very much the experience, you can bring your own towel and beers to save a little money. You haven't been to Finland if you don't visit a sauna, and this one meets the expectations, don't expect any luxury.
