    Excellent transport option
We loved the tram system. Our lodging was near the Vallila Vallgard stop and we bought our two day tickets for considerably less than a taxi would have cost for one one-way trip into the city. Clean, on time, safe.

    The Only Way to Ride!
I'd have been lost during my week in Helsinki without the many trams criss-crossing the city. The tram system is efficient and comfortable. On every car, I was amazed at how clean things were. And I was struck by the kindness of other riders. Most cities have spaces set aside on public transportation for the elderly, expectant mothers, or those needing extra assistance. But usually folks in those seats won't move for the people who really need the space. Not in Helsinki. On multiple occasions I saw other riders - even teenagers - showing deference and courtesy to others by moving when needed. If you plan to ride the trams and other public transportation a lot, consider getting a Helsinki Card. Not only does it give you admission to many of the city's museums, but it also gives you free use of trams, busses, and subways.

    Helsinki trams are great!
I had never been on a tram before, or at least as far as I can recall. I'm British and we don't have a lot of trams. With this in mind, I was quite keen to use the trams in Helsinki and what an easy experience it was. The tickets were easy to get and the trams clean and efficient. It can take a while to find the right stops, but that is half the fun of travelling, isn't it? My first real experience of trams was therefore a very good one.

    Excellent on time service
I was never so happy to see this tram than during the mini snow storm in December when the roads were almost impassable. Many of the buses stopped working that evening I was trying to get to another part of the city. When the tram showed up I was so surprised and happy. Outside of this, I used it a few other times and it was always efficient and clean. It truly offers excellent service to the city.

And efficient and value for money transportation mean
A great transportation mean, actually, the best transportation option in the city of Helsinki Quick, clean, efficient, with no delays. In fact, tram is available till very late in the evening avoiding taxi transportation, which is quite expensive. Someone can buy tickets easily through the relative mobile application.

    Fantastic Helsinki!!!
Helsinki, the nordic city of modern architecture and Finish culture. How delightful to be there and visit the beautiful modern buildings. Oodi the library is amazing. Tempelin Aukio, the new music building, the Kampi kappelli pure art. Then there are many great museums to visit as well as interesting shopping opportunities. Last but not least the Kauppa Halli at the harbor for a lunch and Suomenlinna by ferry for a day’s walk and a meal.

    Easy to use
Downloaded the app before leaving my home country. Easy to use. Gives various options of day ticket, single trip tickets etc. Makes it easy to plan trip as it gives the type and number e.g. Tram 7 from stop number... You can also follow your journey on the app so you know where you need to get off.

    New sightseeing line
The main attractions of the new no 15 tramline, two big shopping centers are situated at both ends. Starting in Keilaniemi business park in Espoo the tram stops at Otaniemi by the Aalto University campus travelling then through scarcely inhabited areas to Sello Mall in Leppävaara. A short tunnel passes below an ancient fortress hill before emerging in Pitäjämäki. There are connections to the railway network at Huopalahti and Oulunkylä where you can change to the Ring Rail for airport. The end station in East is the big Itis Mall with access to the metro.

    The Best Way to Travel
We purchased an HSL card at the airport to take the train and tram to our hotel near the Marina. You can buy one or multiple days (up to 11) at any iKioski. The pass is good for 24 hours or more days from the time of purchase. There are three areas ABC. The pass was good for train, metro, tram, bus, and ferry. With the tram covering most of the City and with multiple trams per hour, it was the best way to get around. And very affordable. You can see many of the sites (but do visit and explore) right from your window. The ride is smooth, quiet and not so fast you cannot enjoy the passing scenes. You get a real feel for the city from the comfort of a forward facing window seat.

We visited Helsinki for the first time and I booked a 4 days ticket from HSL which is cheap compared to other cities. The tram is very efficient and convenient and you have always a free city tour.

Great way to get around the city. Convenient (there are stops everywhere), reasonable fares (some stops have ticket stations; others you need to use an app), clean, safe, and easy for foreigners/visitors to use.
