This hike was seriously amazing. It took some convincing to get my wife to agree to it, but we went for it and had a blast. The views the entire way are just absolutely stunning and it was a ton of fun doing river crossings...More

A great hike with lots of views on Hvalfjörður and the surrounding mountains. When hiking Glymur, it's recommended to hike up on the southern side and down on the northern. You will have to cross the river Botnsà twice. Be prepared for REALLY cold water,...More

Just do it. Crawl through that dark cave. Cross the river on rocks and a log. Pull yourself up the side of the wet slippery mountain with ropes. All of it was totally worth it. Just don't be that guy wearing tennis shoes doing this....More

A great hike with some really interesting bits like the mentioned river crossing. We found it very easy but exciting! One of the highlights of our Iceland trip. Some people were struggling when crossing the river or going up/down the stip hill although everyone seemed...More

It is a very nice hike. However, stay on the main path and be ready to cross the river while carrying your shoes in your hands.

Glymur foss was our first actual stop in Iceland. Glymur is the second-highest waterfall in Iceland that is situated at the rear end of Hvalfjörður on the river Botnsá. We spent a good couple hours hiking in the area, and it was probably the best...More

The beautiful waterfall hike took about 3 hours round trip. An easy hike with only a few steep and slippery sections. The views are spectacular and only 45 minutes from Reykjavik. I highly recommend this hike.
