Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the top markets in France. Many blocks of just about everything. This is France at its best! Want to make a special dinner go there until you find something that excites you. Get there early as parking an issue!

The town really comes alive on Saturdays with this great market which spills out of both the indoor market and beautiful collonaded market Square into many surrounding streets. It attracts people from the surrounding area and beyond and is really good to see that it is so popular.

Oh my favourite market in France! Quaint streets filled with stalls of all sorts. Lots of wonderful local fresh food, fruit, veggies, meat, cheese. Clothes, bags, jewellery and all sorts of things. Busy, fun and friendly. Stay a while, have a coffee and a bite to eat.

Visited this little town to see the famed market.

As usual on market days parking is not easy although it appears most is free and we found some next to the river.

It is a short walk into the centre where the market operates taking over much of the town centre streets.

As with most French markets they sell lots of local produce, everything from beds to fruit and vegetables to jewellery and clothing plus of course knives and local oysters.

It is interesting to look around whether you buy or not.

We quite often go to the “famous Saturday morning market, a chance to meet up with friends for coffee at the local sports bar before walking around the market it fills all the streets in the town. Famous for its local produce, with a wonderful assortment of fruit, flowers and vegetables, fish and shellfish from the coast including succulent oysters, cheeses from around the Dordogne, pates and sausages, preserves, local wine, meat and poultry and crusty traditional bread, clearly indicates the region s self-sufficiency in food.
It's a great atmosphere and always busy with locals and tourists. Well worth a visit.
