Hedinn picked me up at the airport at 6:30 a.m. and took me straight to Silfra. No one else was in the water yet. He modeled for my photos and was very patient. He's fun to hang out with topside too!

We reserved a private tour to Silfra because of all the good things people wrote about this guy. And Trip advisor did not let us down! Hedinn waited for us at the Airport and transported us directly to Silfra. He is fun and easy to...More

Hedinn is an authentic Icelander and a passionate, very professional diver – what is there more to want!? He runs his own company and will also take smaller groups: for our dive it was only me and my brother. Even we were not the first...More

I wanted to dive and my boyfriend wanted to snorkel. I got to do both. Here's the bottom line: I was the first person in the water for my dive and we had the entire fissure to ourselves. We weren't waiting, bumping into people or...More

We booked a snorkeling trip with Hedinn which was wonderful! Communication was good via email and answered all questions. It was a little nerve-wracking not paying online to reserve (cash when you meet him) but everything was fine. He is a little more money than...More

Hedinn was recommended to us by other members of our dive club in Australia - we were not disappointed! We got there early before all the hordes of snorkellers and beginner divers in the other companies and were treated to two pristine diving experiences unlike...More

This was a great experience. There was a lot of personal attention from our divemaster. He planned the trip such that we had the entire rift system for ourselfs, which is rare in Silfra. We got a set of beautiful pictures afterwards. I can honestly...More

A very professional and impressive organization. They were incredibly responsive, helpful and patient with my many pre-trip questions about a diving or snorkeling adventure in Silfra. I ultimately decided to go snorkeling because of the requirement to carry substantial weight to and from dive site,...More

Silfra offers the best visibility a diver could imagine. The place is amazing and we had a great time. However, nothing would have been so good without Hedinn. He made us feel very comfortable right from the beginning, gave us all the security advices without...More

Silfra and Hedinn were both amazing. It was just us and I had some trouble with the mouthpiece on the BC which made it a slow and frustrating first 10 minutes. He was super patient and helped me figure it out with great coaching. He...More

Anytime is a good time, as though the water is consistently between 35 and 40 degrees fahrenheit, the dry suits keep you nice and warm. The website is dive.is

You have an air suit if you are doing the glacier snorkeling. It surrounds your body with air so that only your head ( and hair) and hands get wet in the water.
